Covid-19 school closures: online resources to mitigate the effect on kids' learning
Hello My Dear Super Supportive WA Action Takers!!!
Despite this Coronavirus scourge and pandemic, I'm very excited right now because this is my first ever blog post! Wealthy Affiliate and its community made this possible, and I'm very happy to share it with you. In fact, you guys all rock!
By the way, I hope you're all keeping safe and well. In addition to all the recommended precautions and rules to respect in our fight against this dreadful virus, I read and declare over my family and me, Psalm 91...
Indeed, as a mother of primary school kids, I know first hand and understand how these school closures happening all over the world due to COVID-19 are disrupting our tried and tested daily schedules. However, it's not all doom and gloom. Please read my article below and feel free to give feedback to help me improve my blogging skills and use of keywords! Also, please don't forget to let me know if you find it useful or not!
COVID-19 And School Closures
Across the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in mass closures of schools. Working parents of especially basic school pupils (e.g. pre-primary and primary education) have had their lives disrupted and are not sure where to safely keep their children before going to work or how to monitor their learning from home especially when most schools have no online provision. While this blog doesn’t solve the problem of where to keep children safely when parents are at work, it provides information on how children could still continue with their learning drawing on the existing numerous free and paid online tools and resources.
There is no doubt that valuable internet tools and resources have become essential for every human sector or discipline in this millennium, and it is for this same reason that our supportive Wealthy Affiliate community has been possible thus far!
Children Shouldn't Have to Stop Learning
Parents, Guardians...etc.! Please do not worry unduly about school closures and the progress of your children’s formal learning or education, especially if you lack the funds to hire private tuition for your child. There's no doubt that many kids are / will be stuck at home during these precarious times. So, after you have secured your child(ren) safely at home, share a working timetable that you've already designed with your baby-sitter or whoever is going to bear responsibility for them while you are at work, or even if you have to work from home. Please see below for online educational resources that could help you populate your timetable for your kids learning.

The Silver Lining in the Cloud!
Overall, COVID-19 school closures or school disruption needn't be an entirely negative frustration but rather an opportunity to engage your kids in exciting and fun learning activities at home, and a chance for them to develop independent learning skills, which are crucial to future educational and professional success. Indeed, every cloud has a silver lining, you know...!
