Month 5 Update: 9 Articles in 9 Days

After skipping 3 weeks to help my mom move to a seniors residence, I went into overdrive to produce nearly 20000 words of content in 9 days, forming 9 articles. There is a cheat: I took my 72 piano lessons over the past 4 years and quickly typed that into 6 articles.

Thanks to that, our Site Health for cpcpworkshops.com returned to Awesome, after the writing frequency fell to as low as 20%, and is now at 90%. Thanks to Lyne, we've rebranded it as Lynn & Phil's Mindful Skills, which is catchy.

Compared to my month 4 update, my impression is that everything is down due to my lack of activity, so I won't go over too much pointless detail, but only to point out that's not actually quite the case. Well indeed on YouTube, my traffic is down 41% to 60 views.

But on Google Webmaster Tools, I now have 7 clicks from 343 impressions, compared to only 3 last month. Because all the clicks come from the same page, and actually from the very first article I wrote for the website, I plan to create an improved version of this same page as a priority. It might take several weeks to produce it though due to the videos to produce, so it's not for now.

It's a mystery why Google pays attention (nearly) only to my first article, while I now have 29 articles on this website. I think one problem is that my website is a hodge podge of so many thinly related topics within a broad health niche: 6 articles on piano lessons, 6 tagged as "self-coaching", 4 tagged as "creativity", 4 by Lyne under "mindfulness", 3 as "physical exercise", 2 on acroyoga, 2 on figure skating, 1 on healthy eating. Of course, you can't ask us to focus on one topic, that's not gonna happen.

On some level that's a problem for Google, and it's reflected in the fact that my AmazingToilets.com website, forgotten for more than 3 months and with only 7 articles, is still well ahead with 11 clicks and 900+ impressions. I'm hoping that the "tags" mentioned above that I've added very recently to group the articles, will help Google with ranking the articles. I still have various "categories", but that's not been helping with getting found.

Google found 3 more articles later in the day when I posted my month 4 update, bringing the total to 12, but has found nothing else in the last month, i.e. 17 articles waiting to be found.

Honestly very unclear what will come next, but I'm planning to keep working on this website for the coming month.
