New franchise - tips, plan and story so far
Hi,
In late July 2014 I signed up to a football/soccer franchise. I will be setting up local football (soccer) leagues in South West London. The planned start date is Sep 21st, so a lot of work to be done.
It gives a lot of confidence that I'm doing my own thing and taking responsibility. I'm having to work hard on this outside of hours as I have a full time job and also my personal blog site.
The most important thing I have to do is get customers in.
To achieve this I will be doing both online and offline marketing.
For online:
-I am doing facebook adverts
-Adverts on gumtree and craiglist, will try vivastreet and others
-Social media interaction on facebook, twitter, and business page on linkedin
-Planning to do the matches as events on meetup.com
-Planning to engage with sports sites/forums/sports social media sites
For offline I plan to do:
-Leaflets in as many shops, noticeboards, sports centres, pubs, youth centres, universities/colleges etc...
-leaflets to individuals in shopping centres, maybe also home doors/letterboxes
-Advertising board at sports centre if permission granted
-Networking events (plan to use meetup.com for that) and bringing business cards
-Speaking to casual players and asking if they're interested (did that already)
I'm still working in the process so will post more ideas and results in future, but maybe this might be useful to someone?.
Someone from head office is helping me with a promotion day, so might get some tips from their experience too.
