032: I am not sure about my choice of niche - so what now?
There is light at the end of the tunnel - and no, it is not a train a comin!
naturally, people will start at the beginning, (like here at WA), with either a niche idea, or they simply develop into one as a means to an end. To get on with the training.
This is not a bad thing as it allows one to get moving forward. The problem is that down the road it often becomes a problem.
- Lack of inspiration to devolp the site content, due to the lack of inspiration about the "niche" is a very common one.
Short story!
So what if you made a website and are not inspired to work it? Then just leave it until another day, (or delete it!), and get down and busy with a brand new website in a brand new niche with more knowledge and more excitement than when you first started out!
Suddenly you find you can build a new site in a day or two! That makes up for the long time of plodding along with the old site you really had no love for!
Fact!
Not every website will "just become a success" - sometimes it just will just not! So move on and get going again!
Consider this!
Take a "timeout" from the computer and think about the things you like and can get passionate about - add products - can you get excited enough to make it a winner?
Yes - go for it!
No? Leave it well alone!
The moral of the story - do not get bogged down by an old idea - get fresh!
I hope this may be of some help to someone out there!
Be blessed with success and go for gold!

Hi OldMule, As ever this appears to be sage advice.
I see no point in developing a home based business if it isn't fun, motivating and exciting. You have to want to get up and go for it every working day, otherwise you may as well go back to the drudge of a job you hate, doing things you don't like doing, for a boss you can't stand.
As my own boss in this business I am darn well going to make sure I havefun and enjoy working at it!
Thanks
Gerry
As usual a very wise and informative writing for which I again thank you but really confirms my predicament that I am in. As you are already aware from our previous contacts I am genuinely very passionate about my hospitality niche hospitalitycareerhints.com but yet am dry on what else to write as content. Find myself doing what you suggest I shouldn't be doing which is 'struggling' but do not want to move away from Hospitality which is my love. Does all that make sense my friend?
Neil
your website does give very good information and tips to help prepare those wanting to enter into the hospitality industry, perhaps instead of more pages you could come up with some new blogs or some links to work agencies, wish you well with it worked in that industry for many a year, have a good weekend
Neil - what we need look for is a way to make it easier - I will get back to you next week with some answers to the question - "how to make your work more rewarding".
have a great weekend.

Hi Neil
I was just on your website and am wondering could you write about hospitality in golf clubs as well as hotels.
Great wisdom! I am considering starting a new site, I will continue with my first one but it doesn't need much work now.
It does not get harder to run several sites - it actually gets easier the more you do it and add content or new sites - you can become inspired according to the mood and direct that energy to the most appropriate site. - dogs today - meds tomorrow, cats on Wednesdays etc.

Number one, You have got to have fun; If I'm not enjoying it, it will seem wrong so I scrub it and start again. Making money doesn't interest me to the point of not bothering with anything else. To me it's brain activity and enjoying the internet with WA.
... and thus the money just follows! Law of attraction at work in it's simplest form - be inspired - have fun - enjoy the life rewards!
Cheers for the great comments Pete.

I'm definitely at this point now. I believe my website is developing just fine. But my niche is not serach able. I google my own niche and I'm no were near where in site of the listing. Is it because I'm using a free domain? My niche is call online marketing for newbies. I follow what I was suppose to do and to make sure it not too popular. Or maybe I'm being impatient.
Hi Edwin.
There is every possibility you are being too impatient. Please give me your site link so I can take a look as well.
Cheers.

Hi Edwin
Your own domain would definitely help. And also more posts using high quality keywords
