Sounds complicated. I try to keep my activities simple to avoid stress. But you have a good answer from IvyT. Goodluck.
If I understood your question correctly, you want to hang on to both unique domains, but you want visitors who land on your older domain to be redirected to your newer domain. Please follow *a href="http://www.yournewdomain.com/"*this link.
If this is so, try including this simple redirect script in the headers of your old domain landing page and see how you go:
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; url=http://www.yournewdomain.com/" />

I have built a site but I am unhappy now with my domain name as it is not going along with my new mission for my site. Hope there is good news but is it possible to change dom
So just wanted to follow up with you guys and let you know it is possible to change your domain name and it is very simple. It literally took me 15 minutes to not only change my site name but also re link google analytics to my site. I purchased domain through namecheap and here is the great tutorial from nice member of WA A Guide to Changing Domain Name for namecheap users
I have just changed mine. Thanks to Kyle's timely message today. Look as Kyle's training video. The name of domain's available site is namemesh. But don't buy it from them. Bring it here first and Buy it here. Watch Kyle's video before you do anything. Best regards, Joe
Thankyou all for your comment I am finding info online where it is possible to change to a different domain name but not looking easy. I will keep you posted when I find success
Small price to pay just get a domain name that fits your needs pay the price and go on it's all part of a learning curve the long term definitely out does the short term
I don;t think so. Once you have purchased the domain, you cannot change it. But if you are not happy with the name, you can just transfer the content to a new domain and delete the first one you don't like. Only, you will have to pay again for the new domain.
For definitive results you would need to clone the content. Kill the site and reestablish the site under a new URL. This requires a new acclimatization with Google!
You cannot change the name, but you can backup the content and put it under a new domain.
Yes you will have to take the hit for paying for another domain. If you're buying the domains on WA make sure you turn off auto-renew for the domain you don't want.
I made the same mistake, so I've learned to practice with a SiteRubix free domain name until I settle on something I'm comfortable with and then I buy the real .com domain name. Good luck!

That's the approach I took too. I built out my site on .siterubix then purchased the domain. The only thing about that is the fear of someone beating you to the domain name, during that time. That can happen at any time.
Yes that's what I did too. I practiced with the siterubix and then moved to a .com domain. I wanted to make sure that I picked a name that I liked.
Hi,
You can't change your domain name if you purchased it. You could put good content on it. You can make it work. It's up to you. I believe you can do this.

You cant change the url name but I wouldn't worry about the name as long as you have good content its fine.

I have installed jetpack plugin for various reasons and activated fine but when selecting connect to Wordpress button it says there is a curl error. Has anyone felt with this
I am trying to add a single license to CSV Manager plugin and I am getting the error 7 curl please review the screenshot for more details.
Hey Kevin,
It has been my understanding that the jetpack plugin does not work on WA hosted websites. However, you could double-check with sitesupport to see if this is correct ... or not: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
Here is a link to a discussion board that talks about it. Not sure if it will help or not. I have not had this issue.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/curl-error-6-could-not-resolve-host/
Here is another link that is specific to JetPack. I see Triblu answer, you might want to check with support before you spend too much time on this.

Hello. I just came across your question and wanted to try and help. However, I'm not exactly sure what the situation is.
Are you trying to move your domain name registration and hosting to WA? Or are you wanting to maintain your current domain name registrar and do your hosting here with WA?
Website info to transfer site to my wa account from 3rd party not affiliated with wa?

I think you can just go to site domain -setting -redirect
