So I'm a little over 24hrs old in Wealthy Affiliate and I have about a 1% understanding of all this new information I'm soaking up. When I came across this platform I seriously fell in love. I've been wandering around aimlessly for the last couple years trying to figure out what the heyoo I wanted do with my life.

A little over a year ago I had the opportunity to work for a very popular web hosting company in Houston, TX, called Host Gator. I worked mainly in customer service/web advisory. I knew all the in and outs of the hosting platforms and how to create websites myself but I never really pursued it outside of work even though it fascinated me. During this time at Host Gator I never realized it but they had an affiliate program and time to time I would assist customers calling-in with navigating through the affiliate program portal and sign-up process. Back then I had 0% understanding as to what the affiliate program even was.

I'm super excited to be embarking on this journey and for the challenges ahead of me. Life has been such a bore and at a stand still. I feel as though Wealthy Affiliates will enhance my quality of life and teach me countlessly over the coming years.

ANYWAYS ~ WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO SHARE

(this being the initial purpose of this blog post before previous ranting)

Since I have history with web hosting, I of course have several domain names that I own. These have laid dormant for the last year (FINALLY I HAVE USE FOR THEM). I havent figured my niche yet and have been recommended to become an affiliate for WA. So far i've managed to start a few Instagram pages in which I plan to build on as well as websites. For the meantime since I dont have a foundation quite there yet, I'm using the domains I already own. For example, flowerintheclouds.com and having it forward to My Affiliate Link.

Im sure this has already been shared before but if by any chance it hasn't, its a helpful tip incase you want to get started too. You can start linking your own domain name over your own social media profiles and have it forward to your own WA affiliate link. This is a bit more appealing to your family, friends, etc. and I believe they are more likely to click your link in the first place if they think it's your site versus a rando URL..

I'll leave a link below with a video on how to do it. I currently use GoDaddy for my other domains so the video is from them. WORRY NOT, If you used different domain services they should have similar instructional videos on how to execute this too.
