Banned from commenting?
Yesterday I was trying to offer some comments and to my surprise and consternation this cute message showed up saying something to the effect that I am no longer able to offer comments because too many have been rejected or reported as spam??? Really? I admit that early on I had confused site comments with site feedback which led to some rejections which I completely understand but spam? This seems a bit heavy handed to me. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to appeal my case? Comments are an important part of the site ranking dynamic and I'm feeling a bit put out by the arbitrary ban.

I made that same mistake when I first started. I made a suggestion to make the differences between site comments and site feedback a little more clear as we two are not the only ones to have done that. I, too, got the rejections and rightly so, but they explained my mistake to me. I was not banned from commenting, though.
I have heard this happening with some members here. I do recommend you take it up with SiteSupport and explain the situation. I'm sure they will understand, especially since it is your first time. They should be able to hopefully reinstate you.
