I have published a page on my site and the URL is included in my sitemap. I want to both delete the page and remove the URL from the sitemap so that I will not get 404s in GWT.

sorry have not idea on this matter, but would be interested to know more on this

I've got it on my list to create

Do you know how to do it in Bing as well?

No, I don't but I bet you can find it in Bing's Webmaster's Tools also.

BWT is not as obvious as GWT. Fortunately, they had not yet crawled my site with the sitemap I had submitted earlier. I just deleted the old sitemap, generated a new one and submitted the new one. I hope there will be no issues arising from this approach. Thanks for your help.

You are welcome. It will take a day or so to show it removed.

You can do this in Webmaster Tools. In Webmaster click on Google Index then the last choice is remove URL. Click then follow the steps.

Thanks vhamilton, I have done that.

Hi All, just published the first 3 pages of my website to promote WA, Can you please have a look and give me feedback? Thanks

Looks inviting. A lot of money making sites turn me off, but yours is fine. I guess you're on the right way. Good luck.

Good start. You are very fast, kudos!

Thanks for your feedback.

Looks good.
Brenda

Thanks for your feedback.

That´s a start, just keep on going ;)

Thanks

Well done you are off to a good start agree with David about brak up paragraphs

Thanks Katie.

What you have so far looks good George, like Double said maybe break up some of them long paragraphs a little and keep adding content.... Good luck to you your off to a great start.

Thanks David

Off to a pretty good start George. Looks nice and clean. You might want to break up the paragraphs and text with some H3 headers. Looks like a pretty decent start, George!

Thanks Double, I will have a look.

I always tell this to a lot of people, most visitors experience what is known as "banner blindness". They don't like ads and either ignore them or close out when they see redundant ads, that's why WA stresses using links after building it up with content. I think I would cut back on the amount of ads, one is plenty, especially when they all advertise the same thing.

Thanks Ethan, your comment is noted.

Hi George. I like your site. It's clean looking and avoids the spammy look which is so common. I like the placement of your link banners as well. You explain your point of view and give visitors ample opportunity to follow up on what you know to be a truly valuable resource. You're off to a great start. Keep going, and best of luck.

Thanks, I really appreciate your comments.

Good point. It is easy to try and convey excitement and unintentionally end up with that spammy look and used car salesman babble.

Hey George, that is a great start. Just set your static page to your "about" or your "getting started" page so there is no not found message when your site is visited and you are on your way.
Good job!!

Hi M W, thanks for the feedback. Will do that.
