I asked this question in live chat but only one person answered because my comment got lost in conversation, so I pasted my question here.

Hello.. I hope somebody might b

As long as you're able to write posts about this niche on a regular basis for months/years to come then yes, it is a very good niche.

Plus, as you've already said, Amazon has a whole bunch of products for you to write about, articles and reviews etc. So it sounds like a very good choice to me :)

Thanks for the feed back jaytech. I have some collectibles my self. Somebody else said I should break down collectables even further. I don't like the idea of breaking it down, but if I had too, I would break it down to either Star Wars costumes or helmets. Maybe even create separate Star Wars niches. Do you think it needs to be broken down?

No I think the Star Wars niche is perfectly fine, but what I would advise is to focus on one area to begin, so all your articles and posts have similar keywords. This will help generate traffic in the early stages, then as your site grows you can start branching out.

I agree. I think the niche is fine. When you say to focus on one area of the Star Wars Collectables niche, do you mean start with perhaps, signed posters . And when I've generated traffic, and the site gets bigger, introduce Limited edition 6" statues as an example? I'm still having a bit of a hard time wrapping my head around this. Sorry for my ignorance.

Well, for every niche you can think of there are usually sub categories, for examples books or dvd's. They sell well and there are probably a lot of them that you could review, that would generate a lot of traffic and sales assuming you do your keyword research. This is just an example, this is your niche and you may have a better idea on a category to focus on

Now, as your site grows you can start to branch out with new categories all relative to your niche over time.

Thanks jaytech, I understand it a whole lot better. I've just finished the lesson on building your web site. Can't wait to learn about key word research. Put it into practice. I think I'm about set with which direction I'm going to go with. Thanks again for your input.

I personally think it's specific enough to be a good niche! Check this blog out: It should help you out!

Thankyou for your reply. I looked at the link. It is helpful. But I still think its a good niche but someone on live chat said maybe I should break it down further. I'm not sure if that niche needs to? If so, maybe I can create a couple of Star Wars niches. Would that be a good idea?

You could specialise in just stuff from the original Star Wars - i.e. no jar jar binks etc. That will always be a bit more valuable and cooler for people to collect than a Darth Maul figure.

I agree. Meesa not selling Jar Jar...lol.
I can break it down to the the original trilogy like you suggest because I know a lot more about the original series than Ep 1, 2 and 3. But there is still a lot of memorabilia from just those movies alone. That doesn't bother me. But if I need to break it down further, I don't think I could split up the original trilogy.

I would narrow it down like Ian (IMc) said - good idea!

Thanks gmegs. It is a good idea :)
