Wealthy Affiliate (and it's founders Carson and Kyle) promise in their marketing of WA to teach you:

• How to set up your own website business in 4 steps...
• 1) How to come up with and choose a (profitable) niche
  
• 2) How to create your own website
• 3) How to perform effective keyword research and
• create engaging and helpful content to attract traffic to your (new) website
• 4) How to monetize that traffic without having to create a product via affiliate marketing
• Plus lots of content, mini courses, lessons, tips and tricks, live trainings etc. around the topics above

Are Carson and Kyle Notorious Liars?

Fact: Wealthy Affiliate is around for over 14 years as of this writing. (2019)

If WA was a huge scam, the owners and the top affiliates clearly would do a terrific job about hiding the truth for that long, right?

But although very unlikely, it could still be the case.

Would they show their faces, put their names out there, even show pictures of their families?

Probably not.

Scammers usually not behave very transparent...

So let's dig a little deeper.

Does Wealthy Affiliate DELIVER?

So coming back to what is promised, let's check step-by-step if Wealthy Affiliate and it's training course is able to deliver.

Does Wealthy Affiliate teach "how to come up with and choose a (profitable) niche"?

Wealthy Affiliate's training program goes into detail about this, shows how to niche down if the topic is too broad, how to come up with more ideas and even delivers a potentially very profitable niche in case you can not decide on one.

So this is a yes, WA clearly delivers here.

Does WA deliver on "how to create your own website"

Not only that, but WA gives you a state of the art, professional hosting solution, a one-click website builder / wordpress install, tips and tricks regarding useful plugins, creating your core content, how to structure your website etc. etc.

Yes, WA delivers on that promise and much more.

Does Wealthy Affiliate deliver on "how to perform effective keyword research"?

WA's training focuses heavily on this topic and Kyle created a couple of videos around this topic.

So without going into too much detail and losing too much time here:

Yes, WA delivers 100% here.

Does WA deliver on "how to create engaging and helpful content to attract traffic to your (new) website"?

Not only does Wealthy Affiliate devote big chunks of their training and several videos towards this topic, but it also presents a proven system/framework for how to structure your content.

Plus, WA comes with siteComments, an internal system to speed up the engagement-part quite a bit...

So the answer is yes, WA delivers again.

Does Wealthy Affiliate deliver on "how to monetize that traffic without having to create a product via affiliate marketing"?

WA's training shows many ways how to monetize your traffic, one being affiliate marketing.

The process is taught in great detail and you'll be able to access tons of affiliate programs for product/service needs in all kinds of niches.

So yes, WA delivers on this promise as well.

What does that mean? Is Wealthy Affiliate not a scam but LEGIT?

When it comes to delivering what is promised, Wealthy Affiliate clearly is NOT A SCAM.

When it comes to over-delivering on marketing promises, Wealthy Affiliate clearly is NOT A SCAM.

When it comes to delivering excellent tools, live classes, live chat with the founders, and a clear path towards building your own, profitable online business:

Wealthy Affiliate is NOT a scam but instead delivers high quality training, has an awesome community of caring, helpful people and gives you all the tools necessary to succeed.

Wealthy Affiliate is refreshingly different compared to other make money online offers:

Wealthy Affiliate and it's owners do NOT PROMISE you to:

• become a gazillionaire overnight
• easy, no work involved, just push the money button
• done-for-you everything
• bring us more morons like you and we will make you rich
• we do everything for you, just drive traffic to us
• we upsell new clients like no tomorrow and squeeze money out of every new member
• you have a "dedicated sales team" that is selling using high-pressure sales tactics
• oh and we have a "coach" for you. Of course the coach is a totally different person than the sales person for your clients...

ok ok, I stop here. If you're involved in this industry for long enough, you probably came across these promises over and over again... It is ridiculous.

So THANK YOU, Kyle and Carson, for NOT making these promises and unrealistic claims.

So what exactly is the BIG scam? Was the title just click bait?

No.

But to succeed at affiliate marketing and with your own online business, it takes MORE than just the tools and training.

Let's look at one of the most respected professions: Medical doctors.

It's clearly not about the knowledge, right?

They know better today, and they knew better back then

No doubt about it.

You don't need to study, get a certificate or be a rocket scientist to know that it's probably not very healthy to inhale tar...

"Nicotine is just one of about 4800 chemicals in tobacco smoke, about 90 of which have been proven to cause cancer. These include arsenic, lead, cadmium, formaldehyde, benzene or nitrosamines. They can irreversibly damage the genome of the cells and trigger malignant tumors and leukemia."

The advertisement is from just a couple of decades ago and doctors are among the most respected professions there are to this day.

But why are we talking about doctors here? To make a point:

Success is NOT about the knowledge / training / tools

Besides the awesome training and besides getting excellent advice from highly successful affiliate marketers and active members here at Wealthy Affiliate:

But why?

We get the best training there is, acquire excellent knowledge about a specific topic like how to become a successful affiliate marketer, we get the best tools, we surround ourselves with highly successful people, we become specialists - but most of us still fail.

Why?

Well, it's about reflection & mindset, and about what is hidden and not directly visible.

WHO has to go through the training?

You.

WHO has to set goals and then follow through with them until they are achieved, besides having a life outside of this platform?

You.

WHO has to...

• focus laser-like on these goals,
• do the work,
• get rid of as many distractions as possible (after identifying them!),
• plan your day and to stick to a routine to stay consistent and productive,
• develop the discipline necessary to succeed,
• grow and evolve as a person to be able to achieve those goals,
• develop the habit of being ok with being uncomfortable but do the work anyway,
• expect resistance,
• feel the fear and go through it anyway,
• overcome shiny object syndrome and to stick to the plan,
• work for months and months on your website without seeing significant results,
• explain to the most important people in your life, your family, that this is important to you and that you will succeed at this no matter what,
• move to and create a supporting environment that allows for success,
• persevere,
• get back on track when (negative) life events happen (and they will, promise!),
• go through all the tests and challenges,
• make huge sacrifices,
• model what works, and to
• understand and expect all the crap that comes with it and STILL DO IT?

Yep, it's YOU.

You have to make an important decision

And that decision is not easy.

We all want the good life, all the awesome stuff that comes with "living a life on your terms", "living the laptop lifestyle" etc.

I get it.

And I'm no different, trust me on that.

But:

Do You REALLY Want This?

You have to understand one point that not many people - even the high income earners, even the most successful affiliates here at Wealthy Affiliate - speak or talk about.

It's not that they directly lie about it.

They just don't speak about it very often.

Why?

Because it doesn't sell very good. But the truth is:

It's NOT all sunshine

You have to make a decision

And when you choose the door, the way you want to go... You have to accept everything that comes with it.

STOP for a moment and think about this...

Can you really accept "the whole package"?

The sacrifices?

The loneliness? (WA can help with parts of it... But you will still be alone with your doubts from time to time)

The hours and hours spent in front of your pc, doubting yourself, not being sure if all this really pays off one day?

Most People Can NOT Accept This Reality

The truth is no matter how awesome the chosen business model is, how great the training is, how helpful the community is, how perfect the tools are, ...

Every decision has consequences
