Lost in the affiliate world

Last Update: November 17, 2018

Hi everyone!!!

Hope everyone is doing well, the turkey day is right around the corner! Why I have just realized that, I received the email from Amazon this morning that my account has no leads and if so in 90 days, they will deactivate my account.

Now, while life has hit me hard, juggling with work, WA,, social life, and married life, not that I alone struggle with that, I found thay I am in a limbo and still trying to get to the concept of affiliate marketing.

I have seen so many posts on leads and how easy it is to accomplish, BUT I HAVE NO CLUE WAHT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! They make it sound so simple, but yet I don’t really understand it, maybe affiliate marketing is not for me? Or am I that slow? Has anybody experienced what I experienced?

In a mean time I am just going to keep trying, there are just so many leads and many things to learn and I feel like I am not sure which I should focus first.

Any suggestions? Sorry to be a downer but I feel like my pace is too slow and I am angry with myself.

Hope you all make a killing out there and happy holidays.

Your friend,

Nuttanee

I am with JeannineC. Amazon is not the only affiliate out there. They can be a pain and they pay poor commissions.

Be very careful if telling family and friends to shop on your site. If Amazon detects in any way that you are connected to those people making a purchase through your site, they will not count the sales.

Not sure what your topic is, but perhaps consider working with a merchant other than Amazon. No one else has that kind of threat if you don't make sales. Everyone else has longer cookies and higher commission rates. If your topic takes a little while to think about before making the purchase, then Amazon's one-day cookie could really hurt you. And if family and friends check out what they want on Amazon first, then go to your link to make the purchase, the sale also won't count.

Dump Amazon and find a better program!

Thank you so much for pointing that out, Do you have any suggestions for better affiliate program? I am still very new at this and find all the information to be overwhelming.

Thank you again for your tips.

Have a good weekend, half way lol

It is quite possible that the manufacturers of the products you were pointing to on Amazon also have their own affiliate programs. If not, they are probably available on other online department stores like AliExpress.com or Bonanza.com. Those programs are often on affiliate networks like Awin.com, ShareASale.com and more.

Nuttanee. I never liked Amazon. They do not pay very good commissions and have more rules than all the other affiliates I have dealt with. I personally like JVZoo, Zazzle, Share-a-Sale, and you might really like Zappos. All pay better than Amazon.

Try friends Family to get the word out if you have good people around you. Or try facebook add 1 to 5 dollars a day for seven days it would better at 20 a day but you could go broke, 1 to 5 dollars a day is not bad. Adds help get the word out

Hi Nuttanee
It happens and all you do is reapply if Amazon do this to you
It happens to lots of people as they often join amazon before they have built a really solid foundation for their business so just keep working on adding great content and things will fall into place along the way
