My endeavor to find a niche

Hey everyone,
I need some help.
I've got my website done now. But still don't know what will be my niche.
I'm so confused that it makes me do nothing except looking for a new niche.
So I've decided to do something and write about my ideas for niche.

At first I thought my niche will be coffee or chocolate that I love (Who doesn't?) but the competition was to high... so I thought of coffee machine of the brand "keurig" I checked a specific model at "Jaaxy" (used their free trial) I saw that the competition is also to high.
maybe coffee is not my niche, So since I'm interested in healthy baking maybe this could be my niche - healthy recipes.
Can I make any profit out of recipes or do I have to sell health products like organic products, food additives etc. ?

Since English isn't my first language I thought that Maybe I'm missing something?? Or maybe it's really hard to find a good niche ?

I want to start building my business. How do I overcome this niche problem?

Thanks

Hey Deezdz.
I'm just was going to do the same myself after I didn't find something in those themes I've mentioned. I saw something that sells and thought of using it. But you gave me motivation to consist on finding a niche that I'm interested in. I'll keep digging :-)
Thank you for that.

You're on the right path because you are choosing things you're interested in. When I first started, I went to CB and choose an e-book with high gravity on a subject I thought would make money...not the best strategy!

The advice below is great. Try breaking down your niche into a specific micro-niche and be kind to yourself along the way. Your first niche will most likely not be your last...so just look at it as a learning experience and have some fun!

Probably just duplicating what Sherion has said, you could look in either of those broad "niches" for any number of sub or micro-niches, different types of chocolate, or coffee, you need to dig down to find keywords with less competition you could even look for chocolate-coffee, or coffee flavoured chocolate. Good Luck, have another look at the training about this to clarify what you are looking for!

There is going to be competition in any niche. That is good because you know that somebody is buying that product. You just may have to break that bigger niche down to a smaller niche. Have you gone through the training and see how keywords are used? See, how many different smaller coffee or chocolate niches you can find. Do this with any niche. Also, sometimes the first niche is not always the niche you may stay in. I have 5 different niches now. Just decide and go with it. Research.

Hey Sherion. I used Dmoz to search for a niche. Probably I need to dig deeper. I'll try what you recommended and hope to come up with more ideas.
thank you.

If you really want to use coffee or chocolate, or both, just keep digging. You will find some keywords to use. You can always sell amazon cookbooks, cookware, etc. You could even come up with your own product of recipes or cooking techniques for your niche. Just a thought. Good luck!

Thank you joyceosborn.
I also thought of coming up with my own product of recipes/ cooking techniques - But I don't understand how it works.
Does people really buy this kind of things or is it just a good way to bring traffic and activity to my website and sell something else?
