Pulling the hair out
Frustration! Grrrr....Haha
Man i get so frustrated sometimes when members of your circle collaborate with the enemy.
Well, okay. Slight Exaggeration there. But, as an affiliate marketer, do you ever find yourself watching friends, relatives or even your partner about to buy something that you actually promote, yet despite this you are still unable to drive the lead and get the commission?
Surely, you would think, this is a given since theyre your friends or relatives.No? You would. But so many people get their heads spun out by "Beware of the Scam!" hype. This is of course a valid point, if only more people knew how to interpret information themselves instead of clinging to that old world "Get the man" culture where everythings interpreted for them by a higher power. So unable to distinguish Info from Misinfo, they think EVERYTHING is a scam or some sorta gig that will get them robbed or jail or something equally ridiculous.
It could be something like:
A friends says they want to Buy a new Laptop they saw on Amazon or Ebay,etc... Now you have an Affiliate Account with that particular store so all you have to do is send them the link and have them click on it. But they shy away from it thinking your trying to offer them the Plague. Either that or they dismiss it with a "I'll maybe have a look LATER". Yet you know the product they are referring to isnt even the actual Amazon page or whoever, but is the page of another Affiliate marketer.
Often you try explaining it to them how it works and that if they use your link, then you will make a commission. You try to reassure them best you can that it doesnt affect their pocket in the slightest regardless of whether they click on your link or not. The only difference is, click on yours and YOU (their friend) get the commision. Click on another link to the same listing, then SOMEBODY ELSE (who they dont even know) gets the commission. In fact, ya know what? just to prove the point, YOU TAKE IT! You have the Commission! Call it a Discount! On the House! I'll even go one better and show you how to get that discount on ANYTHING you buy!
Oops! Too far perhaps! Now they just look at me completely lost. Where to stop short of just grabbing and shaking them, "Just click on this Damn Link HERE....GRRR!!" Haha.
So, i suppose that was one of my main reasons for creating Kwidzin.org . At least i'm working on the one side of the problem, ie For those who want to take up the latter offer and learn for themselves how to aquire as discount on everything and anything they buy online. Not only that, but how to also make some money from sharing the product with others and earning commission should a sale be generated. But i've yet to address the issue of grabbing the leads from those ones that should be obvious.
I think i may start making a mailing list for various types of products, covering the whole spectrum of the online marketplace. Everything from Real estate to a bottle of shampoo. Then make some pages or articles for certain items or range of items.Then make a collection of Amazon or eBay listings or form anywhere really. Just wondering the best approach to this particular venture. Whether to centrailise it to promoting everything and anything, or whether to create a handful of niche sites where i can refer potential customers to.
I was thinking of making a fancy standalone page full of links for sending to friends and relatives saying "Bookmark this or pin it to your desktop. It's links to everything you need to buy anything you want. I dunno whether to even attatch the idea to the Kwidzin project, but i dont think i will. I'd rather keep that to its own "Learn to earn online" niche.
Anyone else ever get this problem?

I think that you just have to keep providing unadulterated advice and solutions in the areas where your customers are having issues/ problems. Eventually if you keep at it you will build up your Authority status. You will not then need to have to be wooing customers so hard they will come to you.
Like the name Kwidzin.
