What Is Disk Cleanup

Disk Cleanup is a built-in tools provided by Windows, it is a great tool you can use to free up space on your partitions and it removes system files you no longer use. It is one of the best Windows program for removing unnecessary files and freeing up space. It is not invasive compared to other third-party tools. It only removes files that it is 100% sure not required by Windows or any of your installed apps. Disk Cleanup analyze your disk space and it looks for temporary files that can be removed, it looks for file you moved to Recycle Bin, variety of system files that Windows can run without, offline Webpages, and setup log files. Use Disk Cleanup tool to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your HDD or SSD.
How to start Disk Cleanup on Windows 10
Use the Search Box on the taskbar and type Disk, click Disk Cleanup
Click the Start Button, hover to Windows Administrative Tools, and click Disk Cleanup.
Windows 7
Click the Start button, go to All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, and click on Disk Cleanup
Windows 8.1
Search for the word Cleanup directly on the Start Screen, then click on Clear Disk Space by Deleting Unnecessary Files. Another way is to open the Control Panel, then go to System and Security, then Administrative Tools and click Disk Cleanup.

Do we really still need these things? I know Windows has the feature. I am using Mac and never came across disk cleaning (defragmentation?) any more for many many years
It's a part of Windows features that we need only to click it and it will do all the work. I rarely use Mac only at work and never encounter the problem with it. Thanks for commenting.
