Disappointed
Hello Waers,
It is very hard losing concentration, it seems I can't work. Maybe, the solution is to tell WA family.
I had been disappointed with my Google Analytics. I just found out that the referral part and some part of the direct search are spam.
I know it can be filtered and I found the training of Ailee as helpful because it is not too complicated but still it is hard work, PJGermain has also the training for getting rid of the spam but quite complicated to implement.
So, WAers, visit your referral in GA and look if you're affected to, it makes the numbers so confusing.
I could hardly concentrate, so please help me!!!
Thank you.

Just concentrate on your content creation and don't stress about stats. Eventually, your site will have so much traffic that spam will be minimal compared to it.
I agree with Paul and Heidi! Just get your content out and keep on working on your website!
Good advice Paul! I don't care very much about any statistics, just about getting my content out and my websites done.....
Thanks Heidi for commenting. It is not the statistics I am worried about, it is the future implications when the site will be hacked and those spam when not taking care of, it will give them the ground to have an easy access.
Mhm, maybe I haven't understood right. Do you mean spam comments? I just click them away - and there are very few since I am hosting with WA. Or do you mean that you have inserted links to sites which are not serious? Then you have the power to delete them, too.
It's not spam comments. When you look at your Google Analytics, scroll down to Acquisition, then look at the Source/Medium, then you will find the percentage of Direct, Social, Organic, and Referral, if you click on Referral, that is the place to find all the spam. If you're seeing a phrase at the end saying "Vote for Trump", that is one of the spam, which is a Russian activity.
If you head down to my reply to PMBaluka, I include a link to one of the training of WA member, her name is Aliee and that is the place to read more about the spam I am talking about.
I just would not even bother about it - a few months ago I turned it off for three months and everything works just the same - just do a blog a week !!!

I heard one blog pro say to have comments automatically delete after 7 days, so spam comments do not get tracked by google...
Ah ha! This may greatly simplify things. Thanks!

He, he!
I am not talking of spam comments, they are easy to deal with, my concern is the ghost and crawler spam. You can read more about it below. Two Kinds of Spam Thank you for dropping by and commenting.
Thank YOU! We struggle, but it's worth it
