I've seen a lot of people talking about how WordPress themes seem to be designed strictly for blog style sites and wondering what theme they should use if the don't want a blog layout.
The simple answer: Any of them!
Just because the intention is to simplify the creation of a blog, it doesn't mean you are stuck with no other options.
If you are looking to create a more "traditional" web site, you can certainly achieve that with WordPress. Simply publish your content as pages instead of posts.
From that point, you will structure your navigation through menus, link pages, or a table of contents.
It's not hard to do once you get a feel for playing around in the back office.

Pages or posts, it really is a personal preference. Both can work for just about anything. Just depends on the feel we want for our site.
