There was some talk about email from Amazon that the affiliets got. I though it was something not important but didn´t understand it on the same time.

Liznek was thinking about it too and ask what they was saying.

So I send the a email to check it out! And today, I got an unbelievable reply!
They don´t allow post where AI have been used!

I can in many way understand it about reviews. And we agree about 100% AI posts.
But, and I asked about that, if you mix it in the way you write but get it organized and part from AI, that is a different thing!

It is getting stranger and more difficult each day!

Here is the answer:

Thank you for writing in regarding using AI.

The Amazon Associates Operating Policy was recently changed. AI may no longer be used in posts.

Below is a link detailing all the changes made to the Operating Policy.

Would be great to getf to get update if possible

That’s a bold move since there’s no way to definitively detect AI in written content.

OpenAI sunset their own AI detector because it was not reliable, not even for content created with ChatGPT.

There are many software that detect AI written content.

Hi Emmanuel

That’s true, but none of them work reliably, in my experience, and I have tested over a dozen of them.

Have a great weekend.

There are definite patterns to AI Content, so unless you've re-written just about every word, yeah, it can be detected. Sites like Amazon don't worry about being 100% accurate on removing affiliates over this concern. They will cut you first, ask questions later. Even if they let you back in their program, they will force you to update all your links to your new publisher ID.

Amazon, UGH!

Hi Jeannine

Yes, there are pretty obvious patterns to AI, but I have tested detectors with a variety of content written before the availability of AI technology and they all give an impressive number of false positives.

This is one of the reasons OpenAI sunsetted its AI detector. It wasn’t able to reliably flag a significant portion of content written by ChatGPT or effectively minimize false positives.

As AI continues to improve, it will get better and better at modeling and mimicking human language composition.

In the meantime, if it remotely looks like there's AI content, false positive or not, folks can expect to be removed from programs for just such a reason.

That won’t work out well in the long-run for affiliate marketing, Jeannine.

One reason to diversify so everything doesn't depend on Google rankings to generate traffic.

Also one more reason to actually write your own articles, not just cut and past AI results.

True, Jeannine! 😎
