Email already hosted on Google Apps. I would prefer to not change. Can anybody assist please?
(not sure which classroom this fits best)

If you are hosting your website at WA, and you have used WA name servers at your registrar (e.g. Namecheap), then you can create an email under Build my Website and forward it to your Gmail email address. As fas as I can see there are no such settings available here with WA hosting.

Best,
Jim

Thank you for replying to my query Jim. Yes, I can see the forwarding option, but was hoping that access to the MX records was possible. The forwarding option is clumsy and may influence whether I persevere with WA hosting at all. Thanks again.

Plus you aren't able to have a professional email i.e. Jordan@apachepine.com

WA should let us change the MX records! that would just be too convenient

If you have your own domain linked to WA you are able to create your own emails as desired: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/email

The only problem is if you have a domain specific email already with gmail. and now that I have moved over for WA hosting my email doesnt work.

Yep, that's problem. If you want to use WA, then you'll need to create those same email addresses and be careful to copy over any emails from Gmail that you still want. You'll also need to adjust your email clients to pick up mail using WA mail servers and not Gmail. I didn't have that problem because I created a new domain especially for use with WA.

thanks for this... i was in the middle of setting it through gmail/google apps... this is much easier, although I like the gmail layout, this'll do!

Thanks you. I really needed that observation
