Almost 1 month on WA - am I doing the right thing?
getmakingmusic.com
Well hello, I'm nOrm and I like the rest of you, decided to take the plunge and go premium with Wealthy Affiliate. At first this worried me a little, as the 7-day trial period seemed a little rushed to me. To be honest I would have preferred a month.
I've spent all my life building websites and displaying my stuff! I'm a musician, photographer, film maker etc. So when I was told about WA I was naturally skeptical. I just wasn't sure whether this network was honest and real.
I have been pleasantly surprised by how nice everyone is and how everyone seems to want to see you do well... I was still skeptical. I was convinced that everyone was using auto-responders, to make you think you were talking to a real person, when in reality, it was nothing but a cleverly created algorithm.
But I am becoming a WA believer!!! Slowly!Yes after nearly a month and some serious training video watching, I think this network could be working. I'm still at the development phase but with Kyle's video help I have learned so much. As I said, I've built tonnes of websites and I'm good at SEO but I'd never been taught and I just had a feeling that I knew what google wanted.
After following Kyle's's video step by step instructions, I have learned that I did indeed know a lot by instinct... But Kyle's's video training has enlightened me so much. It's really cool to have your instincts confirmed by someone who knows what they're doing.
Everything from the domain name, to how to write a decent blog, has helped me so much. The emphasis on finding your niche, seemed childish at first but I now see how important it is to find that one subject, which you are obsessed with.
This is my first WA blog, because I just couldn't find the time or reason, to write more than I already do. It seemed pointless to be writing two blogs. So I stuck with my new niche website. Now I kind of get why Kyle and Carson want you to get involved.
It's a real community!
Yes it seems that people are real and they do want to help. This is wonderful news. At last a place where it pays to be nice and it's good to help. I still don't get what all the rankings are about but what I've found is that as I follow the step by step instructions, I'm building authority, trust and friends. I've learned new stuff that I didn't know about google's ranking system and now I have 1000s of friends who are also willing to share that insider knowledge.
So is WA worth it?
At this early stage I think I can say that I have already learned more in terms of value than my initial outlay. I still would have preferred a longer trial period before going premium. I guess a lot of people drop out after 7 days and never find out what's behind that premium door.
Since going premium and following the advice contained within the WA lesson pages, I have gained so much knowledge and new confidence in website building. I feel that had I gone to college to learn this stuff, it would have cost me so much more.
I still haven't got to the point of earning my first buck but I'm quietly confident in Kyle's video lessons and they are working. I now have a lovely new niche site getmakingmusic.com which is developing nicely. I still have a way to go but I am finally beginning to believe.
Thanks guys

Keep it up. It's all about getting the trust and traffic.
Cheers merlynmac :) How's your WA time going? I'm dying to get things going but it takes longer than anyone ever realizes. I've spent years building sites but never had anyone teach me like this. It's great, I love it.
cheers for the message.
Your bang on with the trust and traffic.
cheers nOrm
I’ve been at it less than 2 weeks but have been interacting with visitors and got some ranking in Google so it’s moving along.
Still at it brother :) ?
Yes but for the last 2 weeks I’ve been on vacation so I haven’t done anything in that time. In fact I’m replying to you from the restaurant Wi-Fi on the beach ATM. I’ll be back at it next week.
Put the phone down and relax... :) it becomes an obsession
