It's been six months since I cancelled my account and it felt like meeting an old friend when I logged back in today.
I'm starting over in every respect. A year ago I lived in a beautiful big old house in New Zealand with a husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chickens, 4 goldfish and 28 tropical fish. Now I live in Ireland in a small rental with one dog. I won't say I'm happier than I've ever been but I'm happier than I was a year ago.
I arrived back in Ireland at the beginning of December and I launched my Virtual Assistant business today. It's a tough job market for a woman of a certain age in Europe and to be honest I didn't really want a JOB anyway!

Being a VA is great or will be when I've got some business but if I only do what I call 'office-hours' work my income is pretty much capped. The solution for me is to be an affiliate for digital products (recommendations would be welcome) and I think you have to be here to be a good affiliate. There's so much potential to be overwhelmed when you're doing it alone. I thought about doing it alone for roughly half an hour and then bit the bullet and signed up to WA for a year. It was too daunting.
I think I took on a bit too much the last time I was here. Add in the personal drama and I was on a hiding to nowhere. This time I'll focus on one niche that will complement my business and I think that will work.
It's nice to be back!
