What Is Overwhelm Really ?
To all of the new people who have chosen to travel the road of online marketing,it can be a daunting task.It can seem like you have bitten off more than you can chew.
When you sign or partner with an online company, it really can seem overwhelming...But is it really so...
Take a look at a contractor who just won a bid to build a 200 unit apartment complex.They bring in all the heavy equipment,the workers...
They pull up to the 500 acre lot and see devastation.Dilapidated homes,debris from floods,rusted old cars, standing but rotted timber,several ponds,and on and on....
To the average person driving by and watching this, it might seem like a massive project.Way to much to be done in an alotted time frame.But to the construction team it's just another day at the office.
Being there many times before they know they have to plan all of this work out.They don't look at the big picture.They chunk it down in bite size pieces so they know what they can handle on a daily basis...With each phase getting completed in a timely manner the project gets done....
Also the construction workers know that if things do become massive at times,they know they can turn to the contractor at anytime and get support,help to keep them on schedule...
I had to learn this with online marketing.A lot of companies online really do offer some good programs,however I didn't realize I was supposed to get training and support and coaching to assist me with finding success.I thought you just plugged and played and watched all the money come in.Boy was I wrong...
Most of those companies online are good, they just lack training and support because they only want seasoned pros to work for them that already know what to do.There's no baby sitting,no training,no support..This is where I think the shinny object syndrome comes in.We are forced into it because we're looking for someone to help us... (WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL ME THIS IN THE BEGINNING).
Remember the construction company.When you do find an online company,a good company and they have all the things in place for you to succeed,training, education,support,support groups,tools, websites,hosting and on,it will seem overwhelming.Just like the student wanting to be a doctor.That person will have years of curriculum to study and it will be overwhelming.But that person knows they will have teachers to show them how to break everything down to bit size chunks.
I look at Wealthy Affiliate and say ' OH MY GOODNESS' this is a lot,but I also know that I will have the support I need to help get it all in...
So,are companies like Wealthy Affiliate overwhelming,I don't think so.It just looks that way because people are finding companies like WA offering everything you need to succeed.I never had what WA is offering before and now all of a sudden I do,thats alittle daunting.However WA is exactly what I've been hoping for,praying for....
I know I wrote a bit much but I'm really excited....PEACE !
