Initial thoughts on my first website!
So I'm finally on my way to building my own website. http://healthymealsforone.com has been up and running for about 3 weeks, and although it's still a baby site, I've managed to get a lot done in a short time! The hardest part is making sure that I am constantly creating new and engaging material to post on my site, but I'm working on it!
I haven't had any financial success yet because I'm still trying to improve traffic, but this is one of the things that I'm going to be working forward to in the next couple months.
Right now my plans in the next 3 months is to slowly start monetizing my site. I think for right now I want to aim mostly for affiliate links and try to stay away from advertising, but I'll see how it goes. Quite honestly I would view any sort of profit from my site as a success during this period. Longer term I want to start working on building trust on my site and through that hopefully start seeing better search engine results. Still so much to learn though, so I'm just taking it one day at a time right now!
