My first blog post
My progress so far is I've signed up for the first month of Premium Membership for Wealthy Affiliates. I haven't decided if it's something that I can or will be able to continue paying for after my discounted membership is over. I'm enjoying the training and learning a lot about Wordpress, This time of year is hard (as it's the beginning of November and we're going into Christmas season). If nothing else, I've gotten the knowledge, at least through Course 2 under my belt.
I kind of have 2 websites that I'm working on. I haven't purchased domains yet, and am just using the siterubix websites for the time being. I don't know if I'm going to keep the names I'm using or think of other ones. Our family is comprised of country folk currently stuck in the city. We're working towards moving towards a country life by learning different skills that we would need in the country: couponing and stockpiling, gardening and preserving, those types of things This is one website concept that I'm working on. The other is a kind of website that is about utilizing recipes that are fast, easy, and taste good to help prevent families from running to the drive thru on their busy nights.
I'm proud of myself for at least getting something going. Doing something is better than doing nothing. I'm proud of myself for not giving up on learning about this I feel that in the future, the information I've learned and will continue to learn will be invaluable towards providing a way for my husband to not have to run to a 9 to 5 job every day and stay at home with me and the kids and work on our dreams of becoming more independent from the rat race.
My goals for the next three months are to get content written onto my page and get rankings on some of my keywords. I would love to be making a steady income of any amount (something is better than what I've got now as a stay-at-home mom), and have myself on a schedule that adds writing content onto my website consistently.
By next summer, I'd like to have both of my sites up with ranking content and have income coming in. I'd like to have affiliate programs already in place on my site and have possible other methods of utilizing my sites for income.
