I'm excited to share with you guys that next Saturday (the 27th) I will be leaving town for a week to be a counselor at an outdoor summer camp. This camp is called 4-H Camp and we do a lot of fun outdoor activities such as canoeing, archery, crafts, and all kinds of games. (Plus we sing a lot.)
I was a camper at this camp for five years and since I just finished my freshman year in high school I have been presented with my first chance to be a counselor (which of course I snatched up.) This camp had always been one of the favorite parts of my summers and it feels great to able to give back.
At this camp I will be in charge of a group of 5th and 6th grade boys. We have quite a few counselors this year so the groups will be pretty small. I have four boys in my group. However, we are grouped together in cabins with two other counselor groups so in total there will be three of us counselors in my cabin and twelve 5th/6th grade boys.
You may be wondering what being gone for a week means for my website. Luckily, I have a plan. I am going to write four extra articles before I leave and keep them saved as drafts (but completely finished) and I will publish the extra articles during short periods when I have internet access/time. I will space this over the week I'm gone so my publishing frequency stays up there.
I'm super excited for this camp and I can't wait to share with you guys how it went after I get back.
