The link button on my Wordpress site was not working when I tried to write a post, can anybody tell me why?
You need to highlight the piece of text you want to become the link first, before clicking the link icon. You might find this training helpful: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/creating-links :) Rich.

Thank you so much, Rich! Now I remembered I read it several weeks ago, I tried to search it before asking, but looks like asking always works better than researching:) I am so glad I am in this community that I can just shout for help with whatever stupid questions:)

I noticed some websites have those nice fill in forms at the end of their posts, I know the forms are there to build a subscribers list. But how can I add this form to my post,
Hi, in most cases, you would use an autoresponder service like Aweber or GetResponse. When you create your form on those services, they will give you code that you can copy and then paste in your WordPress website. You could either paste it into the Text tab of your page/post, or you could paste it into a text widget for it to be available on all pages.
Best Regards,
Jim

I have been here for nearly one month, I love this community and learned a lot from the training courses. But, I am reluctant to promote WA, especially to those people around me
I think the answers already given here are very worthy and helpful indeed, however I have always tended to come at questions like this from a different perspective because it strikes at the very heart of the concept of being in business.
To me it all boils down to your own mindset and indeed how you see yourself and what your own attitude is toward entrepreneurial endeavours. In business we supply a service or a product in return for a financial reward. That is how the business world works and that is the case no matter what business sector you operate in. If you are uncomfortable about the entire principal of making a profit in general then that is something you will have to overcome before you can move on with the goal of being in any sort of business but remember this… even if you have a job, you are simply selling your time for money ;)
As far as friends and relatives in particular are concerned, once the above concept is dealt with, ask yourself this question… if you were in a conventional bricks and mortar business and you owned a shop for instance, would you invite all of your friends and relatives round to help themselves to your stock for free? If you did the business wouldn’t last very long would it :)
Perhaps it would help to look at it like this; You have to ask yourself what do you honestly think about the product or service that you are supplying and do you genuinely in your heart believe that the supply of that product or service is (here is the key ;) ) ‘adding value’ to the lives of your customers or clients if they purchased it from you.
Now the next part is crucial… when you became an affiliate of Wealthy Affiliate, in effect you purchased the right to ‘resell’ the information contained within wealthy affiliate. In this case the profit margin is fixed by the company at 50% so what you are actually doing is purchasing a membership at wholesale and selling it on at retail for a 50% profit. To send people to wealthy affiliate directly without your affiliate link is the equivalent of inviting friends and family to help themselves to the goods on your shop’s shelves for free. There isn’t anything wrong in it… it’s just that if you really do have a goal to be in business, that is not how to run a business.
If you are not used to it, it can take a while to alter your mindset to that of an entrepreneur but it will come, just focus on the value that you are giving access to and believe that you deserve to be rewarded for your efforts :)
Thank you so much for the comment. I think you really got my point. I agree I am not in an entrepreneur's mindset yet. I just think a profit of 50% may be too high. I did use referral link for some other stuffs before, but only in a win-win situation, like I get $5 for refer and my friend get $5 incentive bonus for sign-up.
You believe in the product, you're working the system yourself, you should tell others and not fell ashamed about earning commissions for your efforts, regardless if they're your friends that's what this game is all about and you can't be afraid to sell.
If you want to tell them about the commissions up front (full disclosure), it's actually a selling point because once they're in, then they can go out, tell the people they know, and make money themselves. Not to say that WA is an MLM or a hardcore biz opp in anyway, but that's what attracts people into many of those programs. They believe if THEY can be sold, then it will be easy to sell others. The same basic thing applies here. If you decide to frame this as a community, learning environment, and business type opportunity, you should see good conversions on upgrades as bringing people in under this premise they are more likely to be attracted to earning $1 even for free sign-ups.
This is just my opinion... best of luck moving forward.
I wish you could have ready the blog of Steve I have tried that which can be easily found in google search engine.
One gets so excite that one register immediately for free starter.Once you are in most likely you go for Premium.
One who is paying has to see the worth of WA. If most are staying that clearly shows that WA is really worthy.
In case you are compelling some one to go for Premium and making false promises then only they will think that you are earning from their pockets.

You don't have to tell them they'll find out when they start learning how it works. And if it really bothers you that bad give them, the money you got as commissions. But if this is something they really wanted to do just be glad you pointed them, in the right direction let them make their own choice. and then stand by them.
I asked about this in one of my blogs, but the community gave me responses which eased my mind. The main points were, you are not promoting a scam, this is a legitimate system that is proven and they have the opportunity to try it for free. Hopefully, your friends have their own minds that they can decide on their own with the info they have been given, whether to upgrade or not. You are not deceiving them or pushing them into a scam or mlm. You are opening up a new opportunity to them.
I think what you need to impress upon them at all times is that you will be there to help them every step of the way. Yes, you can tell them that you earn a commission and if they ask how much it always pays to be truthful (and they'll find out soon enough if they sign-up) but explain to them that with your help, and that of our WA colleagues, they are probably going to be making a lot of money from internet marketing. I have thought the same, but wouldn't even hesitate to take the commission off my own (adult) children if I signed them up, because not only will I be there to help them, but they'd pay the same price whichever WA affiliate they signed up with.
I've always felt the same way. I've referred friends and family because they've asked how I learned to build websites or make my living online. I've just never affiliated them. I don't want anyone to think I'm making a moral judgement here or anything, I'm not, it's a totally personal decision as to whether someone is comfortable doing this. :) Rich.
Honestly - don't worry about it. Just be open with your friends and explain that you're affiliated. After all they can join and do the same thing or they can get busy making money pursuing their own interests. It's not like you're introducing them to a scam. They can try it for free and then sign up later. Go for it.
then dont tell them that... let them figure it out by themselves. But still let them go through your link ;)

No such thing as a "stupid question", but you can stupidly waste time by not asking. :) R.
