Why Is It So Hard To Find The Time?

I am curious to see if others also feel like they yo-yo with their websites and creating content.

When I started this WA process I was out of work due to an evacuation from a fire near my place of employment. 3 weeks without work was making me so crazy. During that time I got a lot done here on WA and took the time to watch seminars and fully get my mind into the game.

My boyfriend also travels for about a week every month. During the times when he's away, like today when he has a 12 hour day away from home, I get so much accomplished. However, since literally the rest of the week he works from the house, I find myself having a hard time logging in once I leave my day job.

I felt as though I was blasting through the training and I even got my rank into the low 400s at one point but I have watched it slowly get lower and lower but today when I logged in it went from the hundreds to almost 2000!

The reality check is real. I haven't done anything in days and that ranking really shows it to me.

Today basically marks 6 weeks in the program for me and I am just having a heck of a time with my time management.

When I get home from work I like to spend time with my guy and fur babies. Exercising, cooking, relaxing.... being on the laptop? I am having a hard time squeezing it in. I keep thinking that it is easier to focus when I take the laptop to a coffee shop or something and its fun to be out of the house but the WiFi is always so awful.

I live a little ways outside of Yosemite and the internet, even at my home is really a struggle.

Any suggestions for those who have been doing this longer?

I'm right there with you all the way Nicole. We started about the same time and my rank was in the 400's with you. My time management is also tricky and my ranking fell. My website needs a lot of fixing and engaging in the community also takes time. It has been overwhelming and frustrating at times, but I will not give up when I have really done a lot so far. I don't have any answers for you, Nicole, but I will be a cheerleader for you and wish you the best as we both just keep moving forward.

I'll take all the cheerleading I can get! Thanks!!

Just checking in with you. I hope all is well and that you haven't given up yet. I am still finding this overwhelming and hard to keep up, but I keep plugging away at it. I took the big plunge and did the yearly thing for the Black Friday sale. I'm hoping this time next year that I finally see a return on that investment. I would be happy just to make my time here pay for itself and not to worried about big profit yet.
Best wishes my WA friend!

Hi Nicole, thanks for sharing..and you know what, you aren't alone because almost everyone of us face the same feelings and emotions at some point in this process. We all have great intentions..we're going to blast through the training, we're going to build fantastic websites..we're going to be the next Richard Branson etc...but all of that is just in our minds. The trick is to make these things reality. We need to be working towards making money..and it all starts with setting a time table with actionable tasks that move us in the direction of our goals. You need to sit down and make a plan...list your days, and factor in all your normal activities..but set aside a little bit of time for you and your business. It doesn't have to be massive chunks of time, so long as there's something which is achievable and moving you forward. I wish you the best of luck :)
