A light bulb came on!!

Last night a light bulb came on. A few days ago I was doing some outbound call center QA work for a side job I am doing and I was speaking to this admissions counselor for school. As we were talking about my goals and such I was telling him about the concept from The Secret (never mentioned where I heard it from) but it was about the concept of thinking positive to receive positive energy back from the universe and he snagged right on to it. Then we started talking about the dream wall. For those that don't know, vision is key, you put up a dream wall of all the things you want, like if your goal is to buy a house you put up a picture, or if your goal is to make $10,000 to pay off a debt you would put that up. He started talking to me about his dream wall and how everything he put up has now come true. He has the job and salary he desired.

So that got me thinking, WOW that actually does work. I have been procrastinating so now I have my dream wall up as a daily reminder. I have already omitted anything negative from my life just so I am a more positive person. Powerful.

Last night I was watching Oprah's Master Class and Jay Z was on. For those that don't know who he is he is a self made millionaire who went from rap music to owning clothing lines and restaurants and the list goes on and is now married to the megastar Beyonce. But last night he said something that had me stop and think because I knew right off I was 100% guilty of it. Well actually he said a lot lol but this one thing stood out.

He was giving the definition of "flow" like in a song. You are into that moment, you are not thinking of doing it, you are just allowing yourself to be in the pocket of the music. He said "Not allowing yourself to be in the way of the flow". We have all heard or read those songs and blogs that just seem forced they are not flowing.

So I started thinking, I am guilty of that, I sit down at the computer and try and force myself to write or force myself to get my site the way I want it. I already have issues trying to get the thoughts in my head onto paper and it never looks the way I was thinking it in my head. I could never get into the "flow". Then what happens I have to redo everything because it is nothing like I wanted it, I made more of a mess then when I started lol.

So I made a promise to myself, I will continue to build my dream wall, to include money, signups and visitors. I will not force myself to sit down and write a blog post if I am not in the mood and risk sounding like a rambling loony toon, which I probably sound now LOL.

I just wanted to share these two things which I feel are pretty important to success. Being successful is totally up to you. It is a mindset that you have to put yourself into.
