Time is money?

Perhaps someone else explains it better, things that may make no sense to you, it is easier to understand if discussed by someone else. You get to see things in a new light from a different point of view. So what does the expression "Time is money" really mean and why? Grant Cardone put this into a better perspective for me. I don't think we really understand this statement for what it is. You see everyone has said or heard the statement "Time is Money" before, but do they understand how powerful it is, and what does it actually mean to the wealthy? I believe these are the people who understand the real importance of time and understand the true concept of how time is money. When you squeeze together a 300-page book into an article of forty pages, you save not only time but money as well for both you and the reader/consumer. The time you would've spent writing the 300-page book you can now spend on a more productive project, the same goes for the reader. In the famous words of Grant Cardone "It's not about who works harder, It's about who can get the most done in the shortest amount of time". I find this very fascinating simply because people don't look at it that way although this concept is more logical it's just not what we've been taught. Just like the saying "money is the root of all evil"... Most people that simply don't know how to accumulate more of it think of it as a bad thing and say it must be evil. It's not money that's bad, the way we're taught to think of it is bad or shameful although the road to independence is a wonderful thing. With it lies the path to freedom, It can buy your time. The time you will spend working, if you were able to pay someone to do that job for you then you could take your wife to dinner or go to your son's football game or your daughters' recital. Having more money buys more of your time and whereas once again "Time is money" becomes a powerful concept that I think more of us are starting to grasp along the way. In our society we like convenience and simplicity so why does making money take so long for some and not as much for others? Well, I think it has to do with what we've been taught our whole lives, and it's hard to break the cycle and change the way we think of money. I also believe that if we can even in the slightest bit change the way we perceive money we would be able to change the course of our lives.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We can tell you are a deep thinker and like to help people find answers to dilemmas. I don't know what your niche is but you certainly have some ideas on finances.

One thing that came to mind as I read your blog is: work smarter not harder. But it can be difficult to learn how to work smarter.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and desiring to help people.

We wish you much success in your online journey.

Hi Nikki first off let me extend to you a big hello and congrats for joining this wonderful WA community.

In relation to your title, I would say that certainly you cannot get time back and you have to make the best use of it. For me, that is that you have to be engaged with people and activities that are positively adding to your life. These improve you and deepen your own capability and experience so that you can grow and be better. That is time well spent. Good return on your time investment which you could put a monetary value to.

Wishing you every success.
Hugh
