Progress So Far In My Starting Affiliate Marketing As A Beginner Again Project
About 3 weeks ago, I published a blog post here on WA about an experiment/project I'd come up with: to start out again as a complete affiliate marketing beginner.
The idea was to use free tools to get started with and to reinvest any money earned into buying additional tools or upgrading from free to paid services.
And the ultimate objective of the experiment is to see if I can build a successful online business from scratch again.
What I've found us that documenting this journey is taking a huge amount of time so that my actual progress has been very slow.
But documenting things over on my main blog is part of the process.
Here's what I've got done in the last 3 weeks:
Day 1 (setting up a new email address, using ChatGPT, free and paid domain names and setting up a free account on a marketing platform)
Day 2 (the first problems. having to devote my time elsewhere, why you need a business email address and how to create one)
Day 3 (buying new web hosting [following on from day 2 problems] and getting that new hosting account set up)
Day 4 (the real work begins - the full process on how to set up a completely free business email account)
Things can really start to get moving now in terms of starting to build affiliate marketing assets.

Sounds like you are all-in, Gary! I'd be a bit leery about ChatGPT though, but other than that--very well done!

I'm not sure if I'll use ChatGPT to generate content or not. I've heard that it's no longer accepting new signups but that might be down to it running at full capacity rather than an outright block against new users joining.
The key to ChatGPT seems to be in how you phrase your queries and refining the first results rather than just using them as is.

Yeah, ChatGPT is only the beginning and it is still in Beta. There are many other AI tools out there for creating unique art and other types of content.
I've been hearing about a new job title that's going around - Prompt Engineer. This is someone who will be able to use ChatGPT and other AI services that come after it like a top musician in order to get the absolute best content out of these tools. It could be the job that ends up replacing current jobs like web designer, logo designer, banner designers of all types, writers for blogs, reports and books, video makers, copywriters, artists. The list goes on.
Years ago, the Utopian ideal was that AI would free us all and allow us to pursie our passions in the creative arts while the AI's looked after growing the food, tilling the fields for us and basically doing all the crappy jobs we really don't want to do ourselves.
Now it looks like AI might have the artistic and creative markets locked down and we're the ones who'll be out there tilling the fields. All hail out AI Overlords! :)
