This Shield fingerprint reader is mainly installed on the wall, inside the company offices near the reception areas were the personnel would come and register their ''in and out'' times for their shift attendance records.

This reader operates on a 12 volt dc rechargeable battery pack, the battery pack is connected to the main PCB inside the reader. The battery pack gets recharged by an external battery charger that gets connected to the reader via a small round barrel connector, which is mounted on the side of the reader.

The operation of this reader is exactly the same as the metal unit, the only difference is the bigger size of the outer casings. Plus having the metal keypad, and the mounted position of the finger print scanner reader.

The exact same Shield program is used with this ABS material Shield Bio Time fingerprint reader.
