First bump in the road - determined to get back on track!
I had set myself a goal to write at least 5 posts per week for the next couple of months and I was hoping that being in hospital with my daughter would still allow me the time while sitting around to get a blog post done.
Lesson learnt.... I need to be a lot more prepared next time as I didnt have the thinking to write a full post from scratch. So next time I will be thoroughly researching, making notes, saving videos etc BEFORE I leave so that I can create some content without having to do it all in one hit. If that makes sense.
Although I haven't stuck to my plan, I have still kept an eye on things, been here on WA and jotted down some ideas as I they have come up. I also took a look at some training and researched a little. Oh and I now have 10 posts indexed to google :)
For those looking for an update on our little girl, she had her heart procedure yesterday which went well with no issues. It was a lot more complex than first thought and although the work they did yesterday has given us some more time, it confirmed the inevitable which is another open heart surgery in the not to distant future.
We dont know if this new discovery is progressive, if it will improve with time or just stay the same. So its a wait and see situation which I personally dislike so much.
To top the day off my father in law was in a serious motorbike accident yesterday, so I am sure we all know now why I couldnt get my brain to focus on a blog post!
We hope to be home tomorrow and back into a good routine next week.
Thank you so much to everyone who sent prayers, well wishes and messaged to check in on how we are doing. In just three weeks here I have met some incredibly kind people and I am hugely grateful for that.

Thanks Nicky,
We are all sending healing thoughts and prayers for your daughter and father in law.
Your plate is very full right now so don’t be too hard on yourself.
All the best,
KyleAnn
We are so happy to hear about your little girl! But, sorry to hear about your father-in-law.
We hope they are both recovering. This is so very stressful for you and your family!
You are amazing to have done any work at all.
Just take it as easy as you can, focus on your family and get back to WA when this has all settled down a bit for you.
C & P
Hi C&P,
Thank you, we are home now thank goodness so time to settle back into some kind of "normal" for a while hopefully!
I definitely plan on taking it easy as this week has been so overwhelming. Just hope we have some smooth sailing for a while now..
Nicky
With all that is going on around you it is a wonder that you manage to complete any work at all. Well done for what you have done.
Thank you for updating your daughter’s progress. I hope the surgery she needs will be successful and that you all find the courage to get through it. I hope also that your father-in-law is okay.
Best wishes,
Steve.
My word, you are amazing to even be able to concentrate on anything with all that going on in your life! Good luck, and huge blessings for your daughter to recover fully.
Thank you for sharing.
It is definitely a welcomed distraction. Usually I am sitting around for hours with absolutely nothing to do so having something to focus on is great!
Thanks so much
Nicky

Sorry to hear your family is going through so much. But your blog and your training will still be here when you're ready to return. Life and family are far more important than any blog. By all means, keep those your top priority, and work on your site when you get the chance.
Life and family are definitely top priority, no doubt about that. My biggest motivation for starting WA was needing work that I could do whilst caring for my daughter. We are in and out of hospital all the time so having something to do whilst she rests, has surgery etc is actually really good for me :)
