Get That Bounce Rate Down!
So you may or may not yet know about bounce rates. It's a little section of Google Analytics that many will find is quite a high percentage. This percentage should be taken very seriously and monitored with a watchful eye.
What is a bounce rate? Well, its kinda in the name. It means the percentage of people getting to a landing page on your site, maybe even reading all of it, then clicking that little x on the tab, leaving your site without having looked at anything else you have to offer.
It's often a good idea to experiment with your site and try to find new ways of keeping your visitor's attention. Of course, the longer they're there, the higher a probability you will have of them clicking on something to earn you revenue.
So one idea I had was to take thumbnail sized images and put them at the bottom of EVERY article on the site, with links to related articles. This idea came with a lot of hard work as I'd already written a lot. There are still a few sneaky articles that are missing them...
So with this, I got my bounce rate down from 95% to 82%. Not great, but progress all the same. Has anybody else gone through a similar quest to lower the bounce rate? What did you try that made a difference? I'd be super keen to know if you're a kind soul willing to share. I may soon change the theme of my site too, in an attempt to have more features on display before a scroll-down...
Food for thought.

my bounce rate is at about 70% I am not concerned at the moment as most my visitors have been from WA (direct) and my organic traffic has a bounce rate of 30% so once i get more organic I am confident it will go down
