Track Your Progress
Why?
So you know where you have been and where you were before.
We all get to certain points in our lives when we start to question everything we are doing and loose a bit of confidence. It happens and it is often the point that people give up on whatever they are perusing.
I'm a little bit at that point right now. I think if I would have been tracking what I had been doing up to this point I wouldn't be stumbling quite as much as I have been this past week or so. I felt that it would have helped me look at all I have done up to this point and feel like I really have made progress.
How?
The best way, I feel, to prevent this in your own life is to track your progress to your goals. I've been tracking a few things that I have been doing but they have been mainly results based, i.e. visitors to my site, followers on social media ect. I feel that I would be doing better if I tracked the actions I took as well as the results.
Tools I've Found
There are literally thousands of apps and tools that help you to track your progress. Many are focused on a particular action or category like fitness.
The one I picked to download is a combination habit tracker and goal tracker. You go through and put in your goal or the habit you want to build. You can include a specific time period and frequency. Finally, you check in whenever you do the task. It is a completely free app and although a bit difficult to figure out a first, it is a really comprehensive system.
It goes by the name Strides. I know it is available on ios because that is what I use but is likely available on all systems.
Let Me Know...
about any of the tools that you use to keep on track. I'm always looking for tools to up my productivity and help push me to meet my goals.Until next time...
