If you cannot overcome obstacles, then find an alternative, change your direction and continue on your path to your goal achievement. Never change your decision to get there instead decide that you will not stop pursuing your goals.
Discussion of the Quote:
Obstacles are part of the goal achievement process. So you will always encounter obstacles along your journey to success. It is important that you try to overcome them so that you can continue on your journey.
More importantly, some people view obstacles as a puzzle to solve while others look at them as an opportunity to grow. Others see obstacles as threats and still others see them as meaning they cannot succeed. Sometimes it may be impossible to overcome some of your obstacles. So instead you may have to change direction if you cannot find a way to get around those obstacles. However, never let your obstacles change your decision to continue on toward your goal achievement.

There will be obstacles that we can overcome, some that we will not. Sometimes we may have to work around the obstacles or find alternatives. However, we should never change our decision to get there. Therefore, we should never give up without wise consideration when obstacles arise.

We need to take his advice to heart. I find that usually, anything we set out to do will be harder than what I thought.
Take today for example - I was trying something on my website design that I thought might take 30 minutes; 3 hours later I was finally getting it done.
I had to apply your advice (before I even read it!) to the problem and went through multiple alternatives until I could find a good solution.

Indeed he was! Absolutely, we to be aware of obstacles. They are always lurking in the background. Some we will overcome quite easily while other will take a longer time or we may have to change direction. However, we can not allow them to prevent us from achieving the goals that we have set for ourselves.
