Accepting and Becoming Who We Are!

Meaning of the Quote:

In the process of acceptance and becoming who you are, you realize that you are becoming a culmination of all the ages you have been. Therefore, you have not lost any of the ages you have been. Instead, you are growing into a combination of all your ages.

Discussion of the Quote:

Life is an ongoing process and so are we. Everything that we have gone through in our lives have significance and meaning and serve as a vital part of our becoming.

One of the struggles of our lives is to incorporate the phases of our lives as we live them. Most times, we are tempted to try to deny large periods of our lives or to forget important events particularly if they have been painful. When we try to discard our past, we are robbing ourselves of our earned wisdom.

More importantly, we do not have a child nor an adolescent within us. That child or adolescent has grown into us.

Final Thoughts:

“My wisdom emerges as I accept and integrate all that I have been and all that has happened to me.”

The most valuable strengths that we possess are our life experiences we have had and the different ages we have been. When we come to realize this fact, maybe, we would not resent getting older.
