Automation So Good. Even the Robot's on Holiday
The more I delve into AI the more I realise how much work can be automated, delegated or simply thrown out the window.
Within my business model, I have a few membership sites, several websites, write books, newsletters, blogs and articles. All while doing my best to stay active on social media where most of my coaching clients come from.
Over the past few months I have slowly been automating as much as possible and this week it all came together nicely creating the free time I've been working towards.
A typical week for me is starting around 9:00am - 2pm, have siesta/beach time and coach in the evenings. My online week is:
- Monday - find an economic topic and that is my theme for the week. Write a commentary about the topic for my blogging site. Create longer evergreen blog variations for the websites (x4).
- Tuesday - write newsletter and variations on the topic (x5 memberships)
- Wednesday - record podcast and video, edit and upload to relevant platforms. Repurpose reels from old videos.
- Thursday - write newspaper articles and medium article plus schedule social media posts
- Friday - Analytics and work on my websites
- Saturday - Work on book.
I have seen some time freedom improvements over the past month as I started using AI to generate more of the content (having spent a long time training it and creating some of my own GPTs) but this week it all fell in place nicely.
My week so far:
Monday - same as normal but also got Tuesday's newsletters done and Thursday's articles - mostly created using ChatGPT; Gemini and Perplexity. Images created using Wealthy Affiliate Image Studio and uploaded to Canva to add my branding (Image Studio is struggling a little with spelling and branding).
Tuesday was free so used it as a project day. Bringing forward a plan for 2026 - got it completed with AI assistance yesterday and ready to launch in the New Year. I also reworked an old training course, modernised it and launched it on YouTube Courses.
Today - hubby is at home, sick, so recording of my podcast and video has gone out the window instead, I created a month's worth of social media posts, done some work on my latest book and uploaded an old video to Opus Clip to create some reels.
Tomorrow, I'll be using AI to find some new ways to market my business, generate sales and build it into my weekly routine.
Friday - will be the normal analytics and website management.
Lessons Learned
One thing I've learned over these past several months as I experiment with AI,
- it doesn't come together straight away. It takes trial and error to find AI systems that work or don't work.
- AI needs to learn and understand your business model, how you talk and write to be able to create the output that sounds like you.
- Consistency in training AI and reworking content will pay off in the end.
Now I'm about to enjoy the rest of my day, on the beach with my dogs - perks of living at the beach and having AI automate my work.
Have a great week.
