The Circle of Content Creation
If you're unsure of where to start with content creation for your website, this might help.
I'm sure the pro's here at WA have already learned this but content creation is a circular process. That is creating content naturally leads to your researching/scoping out the competition which generates ideas which in sense leads to your creating up-to-date content.
For example I started writing a post about the benefits to building your website through Siterubix vs any other do-it-yourself site and I discovered a review. I liked the review and thought it was a WA affiliate site the way it talked about the program. But looking further into it I discovered that the site was promoting another "Online Program" and now I want to write a review about it.
I think by naturally finding new things to write about in your niche just through your own research and interest, is one of the best ways to generate content. Because you will stay up to date, know how to target your niche, and likely release more content because you are already motivated by the topic.

Do some scoping out before your write your next post and let yourself wander on competing websites to what naturally interests you. You will either disagree with the consensus or agree and either way your opinion has grip.
I found so many blog posts promoting freelance writing as an opportunity for writer employment but nothing about affiliate marketing. Even delving deep, the last post I found was years ago. So I decided to write a post called "Why You Shouldn't Write Free Lance" and it is my favorite post to date. Because it is controversial and delivers good information about the cons and pros to both free lancing and affiliate blogging.

Hi Will there are some good tips in your post . Still a bit scratchy with writing but have taken to jotting down ideas in a note book . When they pop into my head so I remember them .

I'm glad you enjoyed this. I definitely need a notebook for doing the same. I may get alot of ideas for content but for how long they stay in my head, Who knows? :P I'm very much a fly to this, fly to that kind of person so my attention span gets divided easily.

I do tend to come up with new ideas while I'm researching for posts. I have started to write them down lately too. Good suggestions.
