Make that Money!
I will be honest, when I first joined Wealthy Affiliate, I wasn't sure what to expect - I just knew I wanted to make money. As a "work from home" mom with two growing boys, I had to find a way to generate an income. Years ago, it was no problem for moms and wives to stay home, but not the case in today's economy. My main focus was to provide for my family...which is not a bad thing, but my perspective is beginning to change!
Rocky Start
In the six weeks I've been with WA, I have learned so much - about affiliate marketing, website creation, and myself! I am so proud to say I created and maintain the website http://naturalblackhair-allnaturalbeautifulyou.com. When I started building the site, I would get so frustrated because I wanted it done, up, and running~ it was then I began to realize just how much hard work truly goes into "running a business". There were many times I wanted to quit because I would get discouraged; I wanted to see immediate results. The information and resources were so overwhelming, I wasn't sure I would catch on. I was nervous about failing, or not being able to learn. But I kept going! Not only have I learned how to: create a website, monetize it to generate income, and use social media to my advantage; I have also learned so much about natural hair care, how much I love to help people, and that I can do anything I set my mind to!
It's More Than Just a Business...
Although I have not generated much income from http://naturalblackhair-allnaturalbeautifulyou.com, I'm okay with it! ~for now! :)~ because it has become more than just a business for me. Over the last several weeks, I have been working really hard on developing and sharing quality content; organizing thoughts and trying to look at it from a consumer prospective. With the amazing support and unlimited resources available within the WA community, I feel much more confident, educated, and capable of doing so! The feedback has been so enlightening because it made me realize that I can actually help others! Sharing my experiences and knowledge may help someone else along their journey - even with all the similar sites and information out there- I can STILL reach people! I have become more committed to researching and learning more, because I feel obligated to educate, support, and touch others that share my interests. Each time I log in, I look forward to what I will learn! I actually look forward to working! - even though my brother always tells me "It's not working if you love what you do!" :)
It's more than just a business- it's a PASSION!
I know I will keep going as long as I remember why I do what I do! And I am already successful because I have accomplished so much! As I continue to grow and develop; I look forward to enjoying the fruits of my labor. :)

Thanks, NEH! There is definitely a lot to soak in here at WA, but it's worth it! Take it on one day at a time. :)
