Why I chose Affiliate Marketing as my mode of IM.

I have always been fond of sales and marketing. I have held several direct sales positions in diverse markets ranging from door-to-door vacuum cleaner sales, to Insurance and Securities sales. I've also had several sales associate, and retail sales management positions over the years.

My biggest challenge wasn't failing to obtain enough product knowledge, or even building value, and creating the need for the prospective customer. My biggest choke point was always closing the sale. Believe me, it wasn't because I was afraid to ask for the sale.

I always knew I wasn't a natural born "salesman," but it never stopped me from trying. There are so many aspects to sales success. Each element of the sales process is just as important as the next, from prospecting your potential customers, qualifying your leads, and finally closing the sale.

Affiliate marketing affords me the opportunity to retain that zeal and enthusiasm I have for a product or service, and channel my efforts in building customer desire to go "visit my sales closing expert ( the vendor company site ). I am hoping to learn how the successful people have accomplished this. I have much to learn, but , there are many great teachers here at WA.

Affiliate marketing really does offer the common person that isn't a great internet marketing "sales copy" writer, web site developer, graphic artist, marketing expert, etc., the chance to get in the game. With the vast amount of knowledge, wisdom,and success that many of you have in this industry, sometimes I feel like a retail trading speculator, playing with the superbanks of the Forex currency markets. OK, I know that was an off the wall analogy, but, it is something I can easily relate to in comparison.
