My journey in the affiliate marketing so far

Affiliate Marketing is a new term to many. An Affiliate ls a person who brings leads to vendors website in the process makes a sale that means a fraction of the cost price is credited to him as a reward for his effort. Simply put, an Affiliate is a go- between (a middle man) between the buyer and the seller.

MY INTEREST IN THE AFFILIATE NICHE

You will notice that in the internet business you come across words that are new. In other words, that are not commonly used. Words like 'niche' A Niche is a market segment or a product and service category. There is the popular niche in the internet that is the 'How to make money online niche' From my definition above you may ask who is the vendor and buyer in this case? There are several sites that offer incentives to affiliates for bringing traffic that is website visitors to their site in the process purchasing a product or service.l got interested in 'how to make money niche' through research and observation l discovered the opportunities are boundless so l decided to zero in on the area that will be more productive and rewarding within a short term goal. Affiliate marketing is in 3 fold if not more. As the days go by, more niches and opportunities are evolving. The 3 niches l found out are

1. Direct affiliate promotion. This is a case where the affiliate approaches the vendor directly and promotes his product without any 3rd party involved

2. The second is the conventional type where the affiliate promotes a product through a third party for a slice of a handsome commission on online retail and marketing platforms like Clickbank , Amazon, EBay the list is endless. When l researched these sites and discovered the potential income l can make from such sites, l was blown away with an irresistible urge to give this business model all l have got! This is why l am I building up my knowledge, and testing my ability to sell online

3. Cost Per Action Affiliates. This is the third type of affiliates. They are rewarded for simply performing an action. Like bringing leads making people visit their site and perform a simple task such as filling in their details, surveys you name it. The list of activity is endless.

For a start l began with the conventional affiliate model.knowledge is so educating l read a PDF on how to attract 1000 visitors a day to your website. Trust me! l worked out the principles and to my surprise my website began to buzz as visitors from several social media platforms began to visit my site

LITTLE EXPERIENCE

I would send links to my websites and leave out the checkout page thereby preventing my website visitors from buying those products.l was confused. One day when l opened my twitter account my pal following me on my account left a word of notice for me he asked 'where is your link?' you are leaving money on the table!l got more confused because l had no idea how to get this link placed for buyers to see. Eventually the riddle was solved.

SUMMARY OF MY EXPERIENCE

l may not have gotten the basics right when l began this model of business after all that is the essence of learning.

Wealthy Affiliates platform helped in a tremendous way to distil in the practical steps to get an online business off the ground and running with precision.l am in this platform to really make a different in service delivery, affiliate marketing in all the 3 conventional niches. My greatest kick of excitement comes each time l see the stats of my earning.
