Got a problem website is showing up with a red https crossed out and in red. How can it be fixed ?
I believe it is because your website still has issues with being totally secure. For a week or so my website showed the "i" instead of the Lock, meaning a secure site. It turned out for me the widgets I was using I had to manually change their setting from 'http' to 'https'. I hope this helps.
Ken
Hi thanks for your reply but how do you do the manual change ? as I can't figure it out.
S & S
To manually change the widget. Go to widgets at the coding to them and where its has http in the code change it to https. Works most of the time. Ive only had 1 widget that didnt work for.
Thank you We will bear that in mind but it went back to normal but we did ask support to help.

I have put the HtML CODE Into my website and now my site is all text and no images.....
I'm confused HELLLPPP
I had a quick look and it's related to what you put in the <head> tag related to the acmeblog_action_before_wp_head hook
You need to check with the one that provided you with the code and make sure to get valid code to put in the head tag.
The text is commented out with the code /** and */
That is Javadoc code and can not be interpreted by html. So everything you put in after /** messes up the code.
Also you have this: wETX5oQLMcsLWeKj7qg9iqMWXzhBoODEFm4HKYdiC?>
Located between </head> and <body> and it should definately not be there.
Since it ends with > it looks like some incomplete code that should have gone in the head tag. As it sits now it will be interpreted as plain text and shown on your site.
If you remove that and everything from and included /** and until </head> you should be back to normal.
HIya
Thank you for getting back to me.
I have taken thewETX5oQLMcsLWeKj7qg9iqMWXzhBoODEFm4HKYdiC?>
and I am finding it tricky to do the rest of you advice, Im easily confused and this is one of those moments.
Susan
wETX5oQLMcsLWeKj7qg9iqMWXzhBoODEFm4HKYdiC?.htm may be your verification code for Youtube?
If you are associating a Youtube channel with your website you upload the html file from within Google webmaster to verify your website.
Hiya thank you for getting back to me,
I did do it through Google web master but some how I messed something up...
WA have told me that there seems to be a problem with the theme so sadly they have changed my theme to another one.
Susan .
This was good and bad news all in one. Hope you get it sorted out in the new theme. And if you don't like that theme, there are lots of others to choose from
It probably got messed up when you edited the header file, Susan.
Try the theme again and verify your ownership.
Awh thank you so very much
you read my mind I really don't like this new theme.
How funny is that its like you knew what I was thinking.
Susan
Yes I think that you are so right lol
I will go back in and try again without any messing up this time.
It seems like everyone is reading my mind.
Thank you Ben, Iv'e just followed you,
I like the way you put things.
Susan
That's great Ben it's the simple things that make the difference to people like me who know nothing about websites.
But I will get there I'm driven.
Susan
That's so true,
I hope that in the future I will be able to offer you some advice one day too Ben.
What HTML code do you mean.
You should be able to go back to an earlier version of your site through a Backup.
Robert
Sorry I didn't understand from your info.
Jorn has given you great tips and advice so I would follow them.
Its easy to download a copy of your site.
In you WP you go to TOOLS and choose EXPORT.
You can then save a copy of your site to your Desktop of a file.
I keep a File Folder because I download a copy every week so that I can go back to wherever I want.
You have to be careful though because unless its the latest copy you will lose work done after that particular copy.
Enjoy your day.
Robert
Robert thank you so much for all your help, I decided to ask for site support and they checked out my website and said that there was a problem with this particular theme, so they changed it for me...
Susan
You have to be careful with themes.
Just because you like it doesn't mean it will be compatible with what you want to do.
There are also functions that are present in some but not in others.
This is a pain in the butt but you have to choose and you are really spoilt for choice.
Glad you got it sorted out.

I am using Sumome and they are working great. Most people are also using them and they have other great features too.
It is free to use and there is also a premium version.

Mine did that once and believe all I did was double clicked on it and it fixed itself.
