Eye mustard mitt.
I must admit to a bit of cheating. OK, not cheating, exactly, more like "creative thinking", and I have been following the tutorials. Thing is, I'm far better at writing content and marketing ideas than I am at website building. Trying to figure out how the website all hangs together, and all the bits fit in and work properly was giving me headaches. All this, despite the excellent tutorials provided by Kyle. That's no criticism, he explains everything very simply and clearly, but I'm a dunce when it comes to technology. I've got two smart phones, and one of them sits on a shelf, rarely used, the other might as well be an old phone and text and nothing else device.
So, how have I cheated? I bought a ready made website off Ebay! It comes all ready to go (if you want), with all the plug ins, all the bells and whistles, and Amazon, ClickBank, Adsense and several other affiliate links already. Free domain name, and a years hosting included. Customer service is first class, they're even a WA affiliate! All I have to do is edit or rewrite the content, and use my newly acquired keyword finding skills to make it SEO ready!
I'm still going to use the tutorials, but I now find them much, much simpler. I'm lucky that I have a bit of a budget to work with, although the site wasn't that expensive ( $37 US + $59 for a year's hosting). I can now concentrate on refining the site via the tutorials, and can get it up and running quicker. I've still got the 50 WA sites to play with, and will use them as feeder and landing pages. I've got it all planned out. I'll buy another one when it starts making money, and so on. They have a huge range of niches, and don't mass produce the same site, each one is slightly different, and fully editable.
Onwards and upwards!
Cheers
Mark
