New year's resolutions yes? or no?
Do you make resolutions every year?
Every year I try, and every year I seem to fail. However, when I look back over the last year, I realize that I have kept some of mine, not all, but some.
I don't do the usual, LOOSE WEIGHT, EXERCISE MORE ETC, I tend to set little work goals for myself. I was actually amazed as I looked back over the year and found I HAD accomplished my goals. This being said, I am looking forward to 2018, setting new goals and knowing I can achieve whatever I set out to do.
The difference this year is I have WA training to follow, and a notebook to write them down in. I set out last year with large expectations and only accomplished little things. The thing is I did more than I did the year before.
I learned more than I thought possible for my aged brain! What a great feeling it is to learn something new, and an even greater feeling to put what you have learned into practice. I have finally managed to attach my Amazon account to my website, something I have been trying to do for the past 2 years. My issue, I was trying to figure out how it worked, instead of trusting it did work. This coming year....here goes...is to make more money than I did this year! Tweak all my web sites, and write not just more content but niche worthy content.
So here is to a successful 2018 to all here in WA, and even tho life may not be exactly what one thinks it should be, just remember, IT IS YOUR LIFE, AND THE ARE YOUR GOALS.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, and may you all reach your full potential this 2018
Below is a list of the most common New Year's Resolutions...
- Health
- Weight Loss
- Financial Goals
- Love and Relationship Goals
- Career Goals
- Prioritizing Family and Personal Time
- Quitting Smoking
- Helping Others
If you want the New Years Resolutions to stick, the little list below should help a bit. The 3 steps below are what I try to follow, and I hope they work for you too.
- Realistic for you
- Clearly defined
- Have measurable milestones
Thanks for reading and I hope you take a moment to comment and tell me if you make New Year's Resolutions.

Hi Noreen
Apologies in advance for the long response, again!
I very much enjoyed your post and thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. Excellent tips!
SOME SAY and this is only what I have learned, that setting New Year’s resolutions can keep you stuck in a rut, when it comes to:
Finances
Health and love life
Career or
Business
Repeating the same old patterns, just to achieve the same dissatisfying results.
WE ALL HAVE THE BEST INTENTIONS!
Using WA as an example. Some become members expecting overnight success. Perhaps resolutions share that same expectation? We are planning to succeed at WA by learning new skills and perhaps more planning is required prior to setting a resolution?
Which is what you suggest in your 3 steps - brilliant advice.
EXTERNAL RESULTS
For myself, I have spent a lifetime focusing on and creating EXTERNAL results (it seems), but in the last 4 years, I have learned a little about looking more within, meditating, learning and reading what spiritual teachers teach.
It's not for everyone, or that's what we think. I had done the same things over and over and you know, I actually got the same results!
BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE THIS 2018! IF YOU ARE SETTING RESOLUTIONS OR NOT, JUST FOCUS ON THE ENJOYING PART!
See you in 2018!
Wayne
P.S. I have not set resolutions yet, I've called my intentions goals at the moment.
Wonderful post! Thank you, and yes, Intentions goals are a good way to put it.
My goals/intentions/resolutions are just that MINE!
I won't be making any this year, still working on last years. I'll recycle those.
Have a healthy and prosperous New Year.
Thank you for the great post.
Lol, mine seem to be recycled too, but when I see accomplishments it makes me strive to achieve more.
Happy 2018
I have had the best results when following the SMART guideline. I also know that when I look at my goals on a daily basis and actively do a task that moves me closer to my goal, I stay focused more.

My No. 1 goal is just finishing the lessons, but I like your suggestions.
You mentioned your aged brain, well just think, there is so much more information stored there than when you were young.
This work just keeps us sharp heh!
Cheers Jae
Thank you! I honestly didn't know when I started doing my business website about 6 years ago if I would ever understand how it all works. BUT, I came to the conclusion I really don't need to understand how it all works, just understand that it does!
It is a privilege to learn every day, and I am thankful that I can participate in a learning community in WA.
Much success to you in 2018!
