Where I've been and where I am going.

I just wanted to share a little about my journey through Wealthy Affiliate so far. I started down this road just a couple of short weeks ago. I had tried to start an online work from home business through another project and it failed. It failed because I didn't have the financial resources to invest in the project.

I am a resourceful person but there is that thing about getting blood from a stone. I have been out of work since the middle of November because of health issues. I am using my savings to pay my bills and keep a roof over my families heads. I needed a way to make the money so I can move forward with my other endeavor. That is when I came across WA. I am able to do what I need to do to create a home business and it does not effect my health or my finances to the tune of thousands of dollars.

I started out full of energy and expectation. Then I did the first lesson, the second and the third. My family thought I was going insane because I was constantly telling them what I learned and what I did. I started building my website and posting. This was not work it was getting fun. I am not the kind of person that does things on the internet.

Don't get me wrong I know how to make a computer do some of the things that I want it to, barely. I was a carpenter for 13 years. If you can fix it with hand tools I am useful. I coach baseball. If you want to know how to hit a curve ball I am your guy. I now drive a trash truck for a living. I drove a tank when I was in the army I can drive anything. Computers are way to soft and delicate for my skill set.

Now I have a website www.hittingwithwood.com that teaches youth baseball coaches how to be better at what they are trying to do. I am connected through Facebook, Twitter, and Google +. My very large family is thinking I am insane I used to post "Thank you." twice a year on Facebook once on my birthday and again on my anniversary when every body was sending me best wishes. Now I am there everyday posting something.

I am very excited to be starting the third course on Wealthy Affiliates so I can start getting the financial return on my investment. If it is anything like the joy I have experienced building the website I will do well. I have been trying really hard not to sell anything in my posts so far but it is so easy to mention equipment and training aids that will help young coaches just starting out that is not funny.

I am hoping that I will be posting again soon to tell everyone something useful. Maybe something about how I learned how to monetize having a great time at home blogging about something you love and truly believe in.
