As I near the end of the 2nd training section here in Wealthy Affiliate my task is to post a blog. I haven't told anyone yet, but I was a member here quite a number of years ago. Maybe 8.

Yeah - eight years of following the wrong things. :''(

My younger self didn't or wouldn't buckle down to do this work. She didn't recognize the value here. She couldn't....

Enter shiny objects that lure you from your focus - from your path.

I'm guessing many of you know this syndrome.

I'm pretty much cured of it - or at least I'm very aware of it and if I find shiny objects drawing my attention I can reel myself in. Shiny object syndrome is a very serious malady. It robs you of your true ambitions, hopes and dreams. It drains your energy and time.

I want to succeed at this. I started a website in the electric bike niche. It's pretty cool. I think it's the future. I hope it is.

I want to thank Wealthy Affiliate for still being here. After all my years of being away and they're still here and there are so many people here. That's true success. So, thank you Wealthy Affiliate, thank you members for your comments, support and being there. When I get stuck I can get unstuck easily with your help.

One of the reasons for chasing shiny objects is really pretty innocent. It's a quest for answers. Answers that don't get answered that turn into distractions, - let's try this rabbit hole - then frustration, then overwhelm, and then you quit for a while - cause you've had enough. And then you begin again with hope that the new shiny object will give you good guidance. Only to find you have the same problems, the same questions, the same road blocks that need to be answered for you to move forward. But they don't - and you don't.

But they are finally answered here in Wealthy Affiliate.
