Pow! Knocked upside the head! I'm so boring!

Hi All

I'm feeling really discouraged right now. For the second time, I got rejected by Google Adsense...it takes them all of 1 hour to send me a rejection email - for the second time!

Pondering on this, I got my two younger children (son 21 and 16 year old daughter) to take a look. I got more than I bargained for.

My daughter says that the site is boring. She does not like the look, the content or the font...the font I think I'm stuck with because of the theme. The look I spent ages on the banner and even changed it to what I thought Google would like better. The content she says is boring - I apparently write like an academic paper (too much teacher in me apparently), and she says that the content is confusing...is it a fitness site? Is it a website or a blog? I'm putting my personal beliefs in which would only be suitable for a blog and may be off putting to people...

My son says I'm trying to sell things before I have a decent following...but I've been going along with the training...

I feel like I've been hit upside the head with a very large stick:( I feel like I've no option to drop this whole thing and start again from scratch, or remove half my content from this site and stick only to fitness...

I'm rather upset to say the least - I've poured hours into this and feel like I've wasted my time. And I hate to admit it, but I can see sense in what they're saying. Even though my site is for middle aged women, I don't want it to be boring!

Any comments? I also feel that Google does not like my domain name and think that it's "adult" content:(
