Has anyone here heard about, or have experience with, Empowr? It's like some social networking site where you're supposed to get money for writing comments, posting and sharing etc. There is a ranking system as well.

Is it legitimate? What bis your take on it?

Hello all! I would be happy to provide some insight into what empowr actually is and what we're trying to do!

First off, the empowr MISSION is to “empower people by enabling opportunity, hope, and influence.”

Keeping that in mind, empowr’s GOAL is to help half of the world’s population (roughly 4 billion), earn $25 or more per day by the year 2025.

Why is this our mission and goal? We believe by accomplishing these feats, we will have contributed to humanity's fight against poverty & inequality, extremism and terrorism, and the decay of democracy.

Now, if you'd like to know a bit more about the site itself, empowr is a social economy built to provide opportunities to people all around the world through a social network platform that is easily accessible. It is a place where people can share content, advertise, sell products or services, and teach others how to use the site while gaining monetary compensation.
Here are some simple steps that you can follow to start earning more and get a better understanding of how empowr works:

1) Get acquainted with your left menu bar, so that you can see where all of the pages of the site are located.

2) You should then understand how your balance and earnings work.

3) Once you understand how to navigate the site, and how your earnings work, it is time to actually start earning. Learn about your daily goals and Advanced Matured Cash Outs.

4) Check out your ad credit page. Ad credits allow users to jump start their earnings through internal advertising.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have further questions!

Hi

Thanks for your post on this question.

I did sign up and got active for a short while. It is a well designed platform and quite fun to participate in. The training videos are plentiful and good, but the outcomes to me, are questionable.

My concerns are the following: people are drawn in by seeing their cash "balance" growing daily, for just sharing posts, commenting and participating in the "marketplace". I'm skeptical if this is actual money that real people (and not Empowr employees or those who gain financially somehow) are actually paid out. And are they actually paid anything worthwhile after all the ad platform fees are deducted?

I know some people pay with their Paypal or credit card, to avoid fees being taken off on cash out, but not every one can afford this.

My greatest concerns involve the "Marketplace". Some strange things go on there. Issues I had weeks ago which are "Under dispute" have never been resolved. The "success coach" of is no real help. Auctions I've "won" I've never received the goods, even after supplying my shipping details.
What it looks like to me is that people list stuff for sale which they don't actually have (the first auction I won) and can't supply to the winner. I think people madly list stuff on this basis, never intending to actually send to a winner, because they are trying to meet their daily targets...There is of course the strange "sponsorship" concept where you get to "resell" the item that you apparently won in the auction, even though it is not in your possession. If the next auction "winner" wants the item, what then? Do people actually EVER receive the goods they "win" in an auction?

I was really disappointed with my experience there as I hoped it would be a way of earning a little income - I certainly put in the time and effort! Needless to say, I haven't participated there in weeks, and deleted my Paypal info...if this is real, then all deductions can come from my "balance", and lets see if I get any real money at the end of the day.

I really wanted it to work - it seems like a good concept. My caution to people is: if you have money (so you can climb the ranks quickly), and time to spare (it is VERY time consuming), you may want to check it out for yourself. If you don't have spare cash or time, maybe not. I had neither the money nor the time to invest.

I haven't been disappointed yet here at WA...even though I'm working long hours, I feel like I'm learning stuff of value.

Well done to those doing well on Empowr (or trying to get others to think that they are). It's a noble concept. I truly hope it works! Maybe someday I'll pluck up the courage to give it another go...

I'll have to try it. There's also https://steemit.com, which does the same thing.

Just be careful, as it will take away your time from here. It is very time consuming! And don't, under any circumstances, give them your Paypal or credit card details...

Thanks for comments everyone. I signed up there some time ago, but wary as to whether or not people can actually earn any real money for all the time invested.

I have been involved with Empowr for around a year. You have to set up your account so that they do not take money from your P.P. account and take only from your earnings. I have been paid some money but not much.
It is also very time-consuming.
Is it legit? I think so. It is still very young but has a lot of participants.

Thanks for your comment. I also signed up with them and agree it's very time consuming. My concern was that they use "funny money" and that the amounts that they show you are never really paid out.

I've not been convinced about people actually ever getting pay outs. Also, the marketplace thing seems dicey - do people actually ever really buy and receive real stuff? Not had a good experience there...

I have bought and received items, sold and sent items also.
I have also received payouts, they few and far between though.

Not legit. Generates a lot of spam.

I checked a bit, it's different from Empowerment Network, but I'm not impressed.

If you're talking about Empowerment Network - STAY AWAY.
