Affiliate Marketing Is Far From Dead: Grab Your Piece Of The Pie

Guess what? Affiliate marketing isn't dead. Far from it. And there are still loads of reasons why you should put in some solid effort into it.

In my opinion, Wealthy Affiliate is a great place for beginners and experts alike (in the industry). If you're wondering if affiliate marketing is worth it, it is.

Anyways, here's just a bit of food for thought:

1. The Industry Keeps Growing

For starters, the industry as a whole is growing. It's continuing to grow to. Some sources I've come across have mentioned that in 2025, the industry was hovering around $17.0 Billion. It's expected to surpass that number!

That is insane, and it shows you there is still so much potential for us to grab or continue to grab a larger share of the pie.

2. Links Drive Real Results

I read in 'Business Insider' that affiliate-driven traffic (in America) contributed to around 20 percent of retail revenue throughout 2025! That tells me things are just actually getting started. More and more retailers seem to be focusing more on affiliate marketing.

I'm betting that more retailers will rely on affiliate traffic throughout 2026.

3. Still Doesn't Cost Much To Get Started

Time. Time and effort. Those are the two things you need the most when it comes to affiliate marketing; At least in my opinion.

And for actual costs? Not much. The barrier is still extremely low. You can even still get started with no money, or very very little money.

When compared to physical businesses, the overhead is extremely low. The two biggest things you need (like I said), is time and effort.

4. You Learn Skills/Continue To Learn Skills

Personally, I love learning new skills and honing the skills I have learnt throughout the years. Affiliate marketing is one of those industries that forces you to learn all sorts of skills: From SEO to SEM to Social media marketing to video creation. . . . You get the idea.

Oh, and now through AI into the mix! Whether we like it or not, AI Tools are now a part of the industry. I personally like it!

Final Thoughts: Stick With It

Stick with it. That is the best piece of advice I can give. Affiliate marketing requires active work, and usually ongoing active work. It is rarely truly passive income, but nonetheless affiliate marketing absolutely can turn into regular full-time income, as long as the work goes into it/continues to go into it.
