Writing Down Goals
When I was a telemarketer at 22, my 1st job moving to L.A. I had this manager D.J. who would practically put on a show every morning to get the room pumped up to smile and dial. It wasn't always that fun but somehow he could the room going every day even if it wasn't accomplished in the a.m. session. I mention him because he was the 1st person I can think of who made a point about writing goals down every day. He really drilled these things into us along with being or trying to be funny everyday all day. I worked there for about 6months PT while going to school for audio engineering and I was great at keeping people on the phone (warming up). We were only to make appointments for inspections aka send a sales guy to the house and sell tex-coat (20yr+ paint) as well as vinyl doors / windows. Along the way I started writing my goals down and it did work to some extent. After leaving, I continued to write things down but I strayed away from the bigger goal writing. Still, it was very helpful for me to organize this way. Over the years I've gotten far away from it because of smart phones / PC's mostly. Have you gotten away from it yourself? Do you have other methods you like better? I plan to start writing goals again and tightening my organization up.
