Articles, Blogs, and More Articles

Well at the moment my site construction is paused as I am researching keywords and developing article titles and topics to write on. I want to have my first month or two of blog posts targeted to a couple different areas of personal interest, but, as my new website is a general information website I feel it is going to be especially important that I select strong keywords that I can easily compete for in rankings if I hope to get the specific blog posts found. I aim to post my next blog post this week and will be working to reach the point where I am posting new blog posts on a weekly basis (this is the minimum) and have a good month of two of blog posts written up ahead of time which I can post directly into the system on a preset schedule. I feel a deliberately moderated pace will:

A) Provide a solid framework for myself to work in with lots of small goals rather than large goals that I can get lost in the details with.

B) Prevent me from burning out by stretching out the time required to get my blog up and running over a longer time frame and allowing me to get things rolling in the free time that I have between my two jobs.

I have not yet officially 'released' my website to the public even though it is online. I have only told a few friends about it thus far, although I plan to post it to Facebook soon. I would like to build myself a facebook page for the website as well, however I am not entirely certain how to link a facebook page to my wordpress website. This is a bit of a grey area for me at the moment. I reckon I should put that on my to do list; "research Facebook page wordpress plugins".

Alright, so now onto the 'Questions' section of this post. I have decided that I am going to try to include questions in each post I submit on here and use them as a way to track my progress.

Does anyone know of any plugins that will automatically post blog updates to my Wordpress site on a preset date (any date that I set)?

Also are there any good Wordpress plugins that I can use to build a 'list' with? I'd like to add a 'subscribe' feature that would automatically email members when I update my blog.

Where is the best place to obtain free images for my website? I actually like the images that came with the theme, however they are the generic images and anyone with experience with Wordpress' 2011 theme will recognize them.
